Glad to see they stepped up and took care of you. I've ordered from them twice and everything was good. I will order from them again.

glad to see Chris on here.

Personally, I have never had eanything but perfect customer service from them.

the one time I had an issue related to shipping, they fixed it immediately, and went above and beyond to do it. I would recommend them to anyone.

I just placed an order for 3 tins of #16. Instantly, I received an email stating that my order would ship in 2 business days. Also, FWIW, I emailed them last night around 8pm inquiring about #16 inventory. They replied back in 5 minutes stating that stock was good and I could place an order as soon as I wished. I am impressed with their dedication to good communication thus far in the process.

Folks, you have to give vendors a chance to get caught up with business. It's not reasonable to start screaming if you don't get feedback within just a few days. Do YOU always answer YOUR e-mails same day when you are out of town and away from a computer? Too many people these days are all hung up on instant gratification - if you must have that, go buy your stuff from a brick and mortar and help keep your local businesses in business while you are at it.

It was fine for Bigmoss to mention he had a poor communication experience with us. It does happen at times and I would have been worried if I were him also. He is still our customer and we do appreciate his business!

I find I have to work 7 days a week and usually 12 hrs a day to keep up. It is extremely hard to find employees that had any previous automotive detailing experience or the will to learn. When we do find an employee he/she sticks around for a couple weeks and then takes the first McDonalds job offer instead... When I leave for a weekend I usually have 2-3 days of emails top catch up on when I get back (about 150 emails!). I have been putting extra effort into answering all emails quickly but sometimes they slip through and get buried and they get so far down the list I don't realize I missed it

Chris-

I have 2 tins of #16 that I got through RollingRock (He was ordering, so we combined orders to save on shipping) from eShine, and here is what I am looking at:

One of the tins is NASTY... I'll snap a pic of it and either post here or email. I called Meguiars about it, and they said heat damage.... The other is fine-- no complaints there.

The other question I have for you is about the color. Meguiars told me that the color varied with age, but should be light blue. Both tins I have are white.... Jason has 2 tins from eShine that are blue and I believe he still has a white one, too... Any thoughts? I know from talking to Megs that it wasnt reformulated... It seems to offer the same performance... (NOTE: This paragraph is NOT a complaint, just a question for you... figured you might know)

Thanks!!!

BTW, Chiris, I just read your post (#20) about workers... If you want to forward emails to me or something, I'd work for you from here in DFW. I am about to move to Seattle... but I know Meguiars and PB's products pretty darn well, and I have lots of detailing experience/knowledge. Please let me know (pref. by email>> navyguy@swbell.net ) if something like this is feasible... I'd LOVE to get to work in a job all about detailing... Let me know...

I have seen hundreds of #16's a month and they do vary a lot. Some are pale blue with a white chalky layer. Some are hard on the outside and soft in the middle almost like toothpaste. In order for them to have heat damage they would have to reach temperatures that nature can't likely produce. All the #16 we sell is new stock. I seen pictures of a #16 from a customer where the entire can looked like toothpaste. I wish I knew why they were all different and if it will decrease performance. If you are uncomfortable using it LMK and I will replace it, if you are in Canada I will even pay shipping, if in the USA I will split shipping with you.

Chris

First off, thanks for posting here and thanks for providing a resource for our afflictions. I would be most interested in hearing if the color affects performance of the product, I have several cans of the "light blue" from a previous order and 2 cans that are white.

I have NO problem keeping them but if we could get a response from Megs that would be great info to have.

Cheers and thanks again for reaching out to the forum.

RR

I can comment on my personal experience which is I have cans that are chalky whiteish blue and another regular blue. It seems as if the chalky white turns blue as you get deeper into the top layer almost as if only the top is white. I have used them both and they work the same. The cans that are real soft in the middle, customers have double boiled them, stirred and they cool consistent. I would not worry about the color myself.
