You can pick up a basic SLR for like 700 bucks. I went a notch up from there and got the 1400 dollar model. Love every shot I take usually.

If you liked that grass photo, I have a small gallery going on.

ARGHHH!!!!! That's the EXACT camera I have been eying... (or is it eyeing???)

I could get the camera, but not all the lenses I would want...

Have you ever tried the EOS Rebel? I am thinking about that one...

I will check out your gallery in a minute.

Looks good, man!

I have a Nikon D40. I'm far from a camera guru but am learning. BTW, the grass picture is very impressive... neat too.

Well as an update, the Turtle Wax Ice is doing very well on the plastic fender flares. Even are a solid day of rain, it has not streaked at all.

Thanks for the praise on the grass photo.

Oh but you will... If it is getting used at all... I try to take around 1000 pics per week so I can improve my shots-- My rule is to save no more than 75 per 2 days so I dont eat memory... But my pics hae gotten noticeably better... My camera shows its use, though... I dont know if a point and Shoot Olympus FE230 (7.1 MP) was meant for that kind of abuse; it goes everywhere with me....

Anywho, I am glad to hear from Powercat that the rebel is good... I may have one and some lenses by June or July...
