I dont see why you should be woried about scratches-- you are'nt suppoed to take them off... if you do, you are likely going to put other rails on there anyway, so the scratches are covered up. Besides, I'd be willing to bet that the plastic ones still scratch the paint under them...

I'd say diamond plate rails look nice with a diamond plate tool box.
