How do you take the bed rails off and the one that goes across the tailgate. I have ford plastic bed liner in my truck, does that have to be moved out of the way to take it off?

I would LOVE some black diamond plate replacements, but I can't find them anywhere.

To answer an earlier question the tailgate end cap just pushes down and latches itself onto the tailgate. I have juts bought a replacement for my 05 model.

I think that would be nice, and look good also.

FWIW, I had some brite diamond plate rail caps on a 94 150 I had. It was white and the caps would leave streaks down the side after it would rain.

other major problem with running diamond plate bed rail caps is how bad they scratch the paint up...so once you take them off your kinda screwed...they were all the rage in the 90s... i rate em right up there with extremely wide 15 inch chrome steel wheels...another wonderful inflection of the late 80s and 90s....they just dont have a place on a nice looking modern truck with rounded lines and supple curves...they fit much better on the pre-97 ford trucks and the pre-99 chevrolet trucks...with their very boxy bed lines the squared off diamond plate looked like it fit more...that whole rugged chrome look
