My OCD started when I got my first real job. I began working at MJ Thomas Engineering on 5/06. My boss was/is a messy guy. When I first started, I would clean my desk every day when I arrived. I would then organize all my work in order of importance. Then I'd wipe the entire desk down with Germ-x (he has kids...) Then I'd replace all my stuff on the desk and get to work. I also did this routine right before I left everyday.

Now, I don't do it as often as I'm busy 99% of the time. (when I'm not on here.) And we're not in his garage anymore - we have a real office, so no more kiddos to mess everything up.

Also, when I was in middle school, playing basketball, my dad bought me a 75$ pair of shoes - most expensive shoes I've ever had. I only wore them for games - never practice. Before and after the game, I would polish them and put some "wax" of sorts, (repels water/dirt,) and then store them back in their original box on the top shelf of my closet.

My OCD'ness if you will is really with only a few things and mainly detailing.

My deepest OCD problems?

I have clayed every window on my house...my daughters bike and my bike have been clayed and a coat of Nattys Red is applied about every 2 months.

I keep 2 gallons of distilled water in my truck tool box along with two collapsible buckets, some ONR, QD, MF's and a few other cleaning supplies. I usually buy two of every product so I can keep one at the house and 1 on the the camper.

I Hyperdress just about everything in cluding extension cords, my camper frame, RV underbelly, black/grey tanks..you name it. Lawnmower wheels and engine (its a Honda so it looks nice) Even my camper gets detailed, it has been clayed, polished, sealed and toped with C845 3 times since we bought it in Sept. I have been know to use PB NLD on computer keyboards, mice etc, office chair, phone etc. After cleaning my guns I sometimes put a little PB NLD on the plastic parts....

I really don't feel like disclosing any more in fear of the padded room and tight fitting jacket but the above should be a good indicator of how my mind works....

Hyperdressing your extnesion cords - Priceless!

I'm still struggling with the whole "lead" thing. Does one win or loose this one?

Nobody really wins. It just happens that RR is more OCD'er than us, that's all!

I think I can beat the Hyper Dressing on the extension cord thing – at least when it comes to laughs. All ten of our F-350 Lariat plow trucks have had the factory installed carpeting removed (by yours truly) and OEM Ford Rubber Mat installed in its place. (Why mess up the carpeting when you can hose out the truck with mats?) MY OCD boss got a little happy with a gallon or so of Armor All when he was cleaning our newest truck one day. When the regular driver went to hop in for the next plow run with snow on his boots, let’s just say that the transfer case lever stopped him from making a full Nadia Comaneci right out the passenger side door when it snagged parts of his clothing - and a certain body part.

I used Natural Look on my plastic floor. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Hello, I'm Zach, and I'm OCD. My obsession with detailing started when I bought my 1999 Ford F-150. It was black, and my first car ever. Like others on here, it started with a bottle of Meguiar's Gold Class and has since becomes 40x more expensive. DA, polishes, waxes, etc. My OCD-ness has transfered from my trucks to my boat, too. I am CONSTANTLY wiping down the boat. I hate dust. I have been known to wipe down the bow of my boat while it is moving... With nobody driving it. I've also fully waxed the trailer before and put Meg's Hot Shine on the wheels (including spare) before. :o The boat is almost always waxed before it is used every weekend.
