My two fav things....Foam Gun and the Flex. Both have cut so much time off detailing.

F150Sport (Ryan) stopped by today...I had some left over product to give him and let him take a panel with the Flex. He giggled like a school girl on a Friday night.....

The Flex is really smooth.

Ok, back to the garage, I gotta take the Megs#16 off.

Got some finshed shots.

Had fun today with the new toys. Not pictured, BlackWow.

I know you've seen this one a hundred times from me, but this one is from today

I have found the Foam gun a great tool but it makes the washing time longer in my opinion. I have to switch back and forth between the gun and the rinse nozzle and I still use the wash bucket as well so it does not save me time.

But it sure makes washing fun and makes the neighbors look at you in awe

Now that looks great, it just makes me realize how bad I want to get out and do mine. However we've got some bad weather here in Florida right now that is going to prohibit that from happening. The foam gun is an awesome tool. I hate to wash without it now.

Richard, which foam gun do you have? I've got the one from AutoGeek.net which has a quick release so you can use the foam, release the canister and wand so you can spray straight water, it's perfect. This was one of my main concerns before purchasing one.

It is the same Butcher Foamgun that Auotgeek sells however i purchased mine through a janitorial store and paid about half what Autogeek sells them for. Mine also did not come with the spray handle which is what i wanted. I do have QC fittings on it though and use with the Fireman's Nozzle.

thanks guys...well it turned out to be a long day....my neighbor said he lets wash my wifes car (they are our best friends) so I said...sure lets do it. The car (Nissan Morano) has NEVER been polished. Drying the car off I could tell the paint was bad. I told Luc to leave the car with me. He had to watch his girls...I wish to all that is holy that I took some photos but let me just tell you that there were more scratches on this car....stroller marks on the rear deck, key marks, finger nail scraches, water etching etc.

So I got the Purple clay out and went to town....what the hell, lets polish it. Used SSR1 with a Green Lake set the Flex on 5 and low and behold, no more scratches. Turned the speed down and fished the car....oh wait there's more. This car is WHITE. Can you say White Diamond? Used with a White Lake Pad.....then topped the night off with some good ol Nattys Blue. I did end up washing the wheel wells and dressing them and the tires. I pulled their car back in their garage (Across the street) and Shelli came out to look at her car.

I kid you not, she started crying. THAT is what makes me OCD.

Will get some photos of that car on Sunday, the paint is really nice, has lots of flec in it.

Lookin good RR. What would you say the Menzerna Micro Polish is comparable to? I did my brothers truck today( it is black pics to come) and it made me realize I need something more potent than #80. I was thinking PB SSR 2.5, and I was going to order some Natty's Blue as it's supposed to be really pop on dark paint. Thoughts? You are pretty much the PB expert here.

Tough questions to answer. Before I do, tell me if you have a DA, Flex or by hand?

The answers vary based on what tools you have.

I learned today that SSR1 with a Green Lake pad on a FLEX is FANTASTIC....this same set up would make me use SSR3 on a Yellow Lake with a DA to acheive the same results. So with the Flex, you can actually go less agressive.

I would skip the PB 2.5....If getting SSR's, I would make it simple, get 3,2 and 1.

Follow up question, what pads are you using?
