I just did a little wash and wax on mine today (since the weather was nice):
Wash (with the suds you gave me)
clean tires and rims... see note below
wax (NXT 2.0-- loved it so far, will see it in the light tomorrow)
glass (stoners IG)
Interior (QID)
Tires (Hot shine Gel from the 7 piece package)
Undercarriage and wheel wells (HD)
Trim (Natural shine)
UQD
**NOTE** The rim crap from the 7 piece package was... Iffy. It sounded too harsh when I read the instructions (ie: spray chemical on and rinse after 15 secs), but after trying this, it didnt work, so I thought *maybe*... It is apparently designed for cleared factory rims, so I went ahead and continued use by grabbing my DEDICATED wheel mitt and used the stuff... Worked fine, but I didnt see any gain over the normal wash solution. But, since it was part of the kit, I will use it up, then go back to my previous scheme of using wash solution...
RR - for engine bay cleaning would using your method but substituting in simple green for the Megs APC+ work? if so what dilution ratio should i use. and if not then where can i get the APC+...i only ask b/c ive had good results with using the simple green on smaller areas of the engine bay but i can never actually get the whole engine bay cleaned and you did an awesome job so i need to know exactly how to do it.

Its a little deceiving...its not "entirely" clean. SG will work just as good. The real trick is Hyperdressing. Its a great versatile product. If I had more time, I could have gotten it cleaner.
The other thing to do is to use a shop rag and wipe off everything you can that is really nasty after you have soaked it with SG. (BTW-- I use a 1:1 dilution with water) I typically do this; for some reason SG doesnt like to work on a few places in one application, so I help it along.
BUT-- as JP mentioned, the real secret is HD. It is VERY adept at making a not so clean engine bay look spotless (especially in photos where you can decieve the eye...
