Red 2002 Ford Explorer.....tease

My brother and I are going to go at a 2002 Red Ford Exploder on Sunday.

I only got to see it during the dark. Even under spot lights this thing is jacked up and there are many major scratches and defects.

I will get befores and afters. Just know this one is for sure a project.

Preplan is this:
before photos
APC+ engine bay, wheel wells, wheels, 1:1

Wash, Poorboys SS&W
Hypresdress, wheel wells and undercarraige
Clay, Blue and Purple clay, Megs 34 and PB SW QD
Tape off
SSR3 whole truck, Red Megs Cut, or Green Lake , or Orange
SSR1 whole truck, Lake White
Poorboys Polish, Lake White
EX-P, Lake Black
Nattys Red, LSP hand.

befores and afters on Sunday. This is going to be crazy fun....

Cheers

Ok just got home.

9 am start 4:15 end.

This thing was crazy dirty.

Worked on wheels and wells first, then engine bay.
Washed with PB SS&W
Clayed with Megs Blue
Polished with SSR3 and Yellow Lake
SSR1 with Green Lake
ClearKoat Vallina Hand Glaze with White Lake
Poorboys Polish with Sealer with Black Lake
LSP, 2 waxes. Used Collinite 845 for the top and Natty's Red for the rest.

Before shots are not that good, afters are that great either, we were in my brothers court yard and there was NO sun all day. Then we rolled it out in the sun and it looked great. There was some major scratches on it, some came out some didn't.

Befores:

Used Megs APC+ diluted. Then let it dry with engine running, hit with Hyperdressing.

Trick is to NOT use high pressure. Let the cleaner work down, you could also use 303 Cleaner. Rinse using little water pressure.

Tell ya what RR... looks to me like you don't have to play second fiddle to anyone. You can come and detail mine anytime you want!

Nice work... you are paying attention to the "Details"!

That garage is carpeted and they it cleaned before the holiday so it was ok to lay the Mf's there. Sad that the Porsche has better carpet for a garage then my house.

Thanks Boss...this was a challenge. The car isn't cared for at all. The hood actually has some sun damage but we tried to get it back some. There are many deep scratches, hail dents etc. I worked on once scratch for 30 min and got most of it out.

Thanks Rock.

Cheers
