Cleaned out the ol cabinet...

Being stuck in the rain so far this weekend, I got the bright idea to clean out my "detail cabinet" and keep what I want and throw away the stuff that I don't use or that is too old to keep.

This is what I ended up with minus a few other things that didn't make the photo. Its a terrible shot but after seeing what RP had, I had to see what I working with myself. I know I am missing a ton of stuff. My S100 didn't make it nor did the ScratchX and my Stoners Window cleaner.

Anywho, just bored tonight.

when you show it like this, it doesn't look like much eh?

I threw out the almost empty bottles and cans of:

wheel cleaners
cleaner/Waxes
old waxes
wheel dressing's
old cleaners
and sttuff that was in unlabeled bottles I had no idea what it was

Most of the stuff is old that I have had for many years....too old to use and I wouldn't use most of the now anyway.

Nice selection you got there. Used that ONR yet? If so, what are your thoughts on that.

When I first heard of these kinds of products, I was very skeptical. But I have read alot of positive things about these kinds of products, so I am curious.

As for the scratchX, I haven't used it, just picked it up b/c last week while leaving at 5:15 am, I thought it would be nice to shut my garage door on my F250 as I was pulling out....argh. Got a few scratches on the top of the truck I need to go after. I will take some before and afters when it stops freaking raining in Fort Worth. Looks like we have a round of all day rain today. Happy Fathers day huh?

I know others have used SX with great results pending what they are working on. I plan on following it with some #80.

Ah, ok just making sure. Yes I have used the ONR...I still used the two bucket method with it but it seemed to work pretty well. I use a MF towel and I was pleased. One little trick, don't get all the water out of the rag but don't' soak it on each section. I did a section, dry it off.

I would say if you miss the opp to do a QD, then this is the trick.

Going to work on the scratch as soon as it stops raining...geezz...

Got the scratches out...some befores and afters.

Didn't get them 100% out, but i will go at it again later.

As you can see, there are two lines that run down the top hump on either side...I am pointing to one side of the scratch

Another view, this one shows the "white paint" from the garage door running down the truck...

After shot...hard to see but its all but gone. Some of the shadows make it hard to see.

What I used:

Thanks...only took about 30 min to do the top section. I somewhat blended it out so I didn't have to do the whole thing.

Yeah its raining again....I only wanted to get this scratch out. Not supposed to touch my doors for another 2 months....that is killing me.

After I get back from Cozumel I am going to detail the wifes car to fix my urge to do something....

Maybe you can detail some Jeeps or Taxi cabs in Cozumel.

Oh what a great idea. I will detail the Jeep before we take it around the island. Now my wife will really think I'm bonkers.

Hmmmm....what to take now?
