Fading Window Trim. Please Help!

I have a 2007 F150 CrewCab and have only had it for about a month. But something I've notices is the black trim that goes all the way around the windows looks like its fading. I'm not it that harsh of a climate (MN), so I'm not sure if this is something that other people are experencing or is there a product that I should be using? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I like both 303 and Vinylex. Vinylex is nice because Pep Boys and surely some other big box retailers will have it locally. 303 is hard to find, I had to order it because I couldn't find anyone locally that sells it. The plastic on these trucks just sucks! If you start now I'm sure it will go a long way to slow the process. I know some guys have gotten the dealer to replace bed rail caps under warranty, something for you to think about if it's bad enough. Whatever you end up using just make sure it's got UV protection in it.

I've heard a lot of good things about Mother's Back-to-Black. I know a number of people who have used it on exterior plastic and rubber, interiors, etc. I would give that a shot.

I love mother's products. the mothers 3 wax is the best. And the back to black works pretty well too.

That's good to hear. Maybe I can get around to trying some Mother's products some day if I can clear some space in my garage.

I'll agree 303 Aerospace is a very good product. One of, if not the best, vinyl protectants. However, I made the switch to Vinyl-X for two very simple reasons. Application that comes in a wipe. And the convenience that Vinyl-X can be found just about anywhere.

I'll second the Vinylex. I picked it up one day when I was getting some Lexol products for leather, and I've been very pleased with it. It isn't extremely glossy, but more importantly, it applies very evenly without streaks.

I am gonna have to try the 303. I've read a lot of good things about it on this forum.

You'll like the 303. But honestly? It isn't any better than Vinyl-X. Now If the 303 came in wipe form, they would have it goin' on. 303 will work very well on the bed-liner with it's fire hose like spray bottle.

the bad comments out number the good by 500 - 1 .. Back to Black is one of the worst products on the market, in my (and many others) opinion..

303 Aerospace, Vinylex, or Meg's #40 .. in that order, would be my preferences.

I tried Back to Black once, it looked good a first, then the bed rails turned with a white haze, I actually scrubbed the rails with a brass brush and the white came out, now only 303, vinylx or megs products go on my truck.

I use some of Mothers products and have had great success with them. But I concur with Gipraw, Back To Black is junk.

Nice to hear some reviews from guys with experience with Back-to-Black. Fortunately, I have been able to stay on top of my trim and interior so I hopefully won't have the need for an kind of "rejuvinator"
