A job for RP

RP-- I found out that your local fire department just recently took delivery of this truck. I think you should detail it for community service hours. Sorry for the size-- I wanted you to be able to see the full beauty. also--I think they dressed the wheel wells a few miles ago...

Looks really nice, man. Be proud of the LaGrange FD--they have taste.

I'm thinking that is a different La Grange....

First, it has a front license plate. Kentucky doesn't have a front plate.

Second, the background looks nothing like Kentucky. I don't see why it would've been shipped too terribly far away for the Fire modifications as the truck was made here in Louisville.

Nice truck... I just don't think it's ours.

Looks like it could belong to the LaGrange Fire District in New York... Looks like a NY license plate.

You guys don't have front plates? Lucky bastards... Oh well. Cops haven't stopped me for it, and I've been without one for over two years.

Haha... back in HS, somebody chucked a rock into the teacher parking lot. Luckily, my F-150's windshield caught the rock. Anyways, I was filling out a police report with the officer at the school (obviously, he liked me and my truck), and he goes to the front of the truck to get the plate number. He asks me what happened to it. Uhhh... The bracket broke...

oops. Guess I missed the part about the NY. And I never would have known about the front plates. I don't know about where you live, but usually fire departments take bids on the vehicle modification prices, then accept the best offer. Since they have to figure in shipping/delivery, they usually find a place within a few hundred miles, but our engine was manufactured in one place, shipped 500 miles away for some mods, then shipped almost 600 miles to us...

Our brush truck, on the other hand, was Manufactured in Louisville, KY (F-750), and modded about 5 miles down the orad from us. I guess it all depends on what has to get done.

RP--What does the scenery in La Grange, KY look like? All Ive seen of the area is your front lawn in a pic...

Ehh... I don't think that the F-750 was made here. We only make the 450/350/250... although, once upon a time, they may have made it. Can't remember...

Scenery... rolling hills... lots of green space. Pretty stuff. I detest concrete jungles.

Listen, punk. Don't make me come over there.

Actually, the picture looks more like Missery to me than it does Kentucky. Of course, to make the Missery photo more authentic, there needs to be at least two people in the picture that are addicted to meth and at least one lead mine. Add in a flooded basement, a few trash cars in the front yard (circa 1981 & 1983) and then.... and only then.... is the picture an AUTHENTIC MISSERY edition.

Definitely not LaGrange, KY. If it was my Dad forgot to tell me they were getting a new truck (He is a Sergeant at Station #3). Rockpicks fire Department is actually LaGrange Fire & Rescue Department. Here is their website. www.lfrd.org

Nice looking truck anyway. We once ordered a new F550 which was built 20 miles from us in Louisville and then shipped to South Carolina!

They build the 550 in Louisville? I thought that was now farmed out to International .... or Mack.... or someone else. I thought that they just made to the 450 at KTP?
