Yet another " I washed my truck" thread

Spring Cleaning. Wash, clay, NXT, NXT. I am going to do a coat of 26 this evening.

Oh, and I did clean and dress the wheel wells...

I am making the car washes rich here. Lucky to get two days of clean before the rain negates the effort. Quite frustrating as I like my truck to look good.

The weather here is starting to crack me. Thinking about California, converible, bike, and the wimin there are not famous for nothing

I put a coat of Meg's 26 on top of the two coats of NXT Sunday night. Drove it to work Monday, lovin' it, truck is super clean and lookin' like new.

Then it rains Monday night...and all day Tuesday. Dam.

So I washed it today after work, and the Meguiar's shine is still intense.

And, I am about to take it to the next level. I broke down and spent about 400 bux at ADS today, including a G100. See if I can get more reflection and depth to the shine. I've been lucky so far, I guess I have good maintenance habits, cause there is very litle swirling in my 3 year old truck's paint. But, there are some small, fine swirls and scratches, and I want them gone!

Anyway, here are some pix from this evening.....

By the way, those dark spots on the concrete are not oil leaks.

That's where the wheel wells deposited all the left-over cheapo $2.99 tire dressing that got liberally sprayed all up under that shizznit

You betcha! Glad to have made a half-way decent suggestion on this one...

Oh yeah... on the dressing drip... quick and easy trick I learned for that -- put a shop towel down before you spray her down... also, remember, it just takes a thin coat to black them out after cleaning them. Cheapo dressing is typically pretty bad about attracting and hanging on to 'gunk' so, the thinner, the better.

Do you remember where you purchased your bug deflector?

Beautiful truck. Very nice detail job, indeed.
