Garage Floor Treatment
Garage Floor Treatment
Ok, not really on topic but since so much of my time with my truck is spent in the garage I wanted to check out flooring treatment again. I gave up the hunt for flooring when I thought we were going to move...things have changed so we are staying a little longer and I want to do something with the flooring.
Just curious...those of you that have treated floors with Epoxy or equailant what are the pros and cons and what should I get.
Main issues living in TX is hot tires pulling up the flooring.
Suggestions on making the garage flooring nicer than just ho hum concrete?
Thanks

U-Coat-It
period .
I have used, in the past:
Rustoleum
Shermin williams
another that I can't remember ..
Currently have U-Coat-It (second garage I have used it on)
nothing performs as well, in my opinion, and I have never, ever had any issue with it .. period .. I park my truck in the garage everyday..
I had peel up problems bad with the rustoleum prodcut .. not as bad with the Sherman Williams, but still had some peel up ..
just my two cents.

I put a epoxy product on my floor a little over a year ago and have been very happy with it. The non slip "sprinkles" added a nice touch and the floor looks great. I ended up purchasing a channeled rubber matt that came with the red laser dot hooked up to my garage door opener for parking from sam's club for my mustang with the drag radials because I was worried the hot tires might pull up the eoxy.

took me about 5 hours to prep my garage in Georgia .. it had lots of stains, and hole sI had to clean out ..
about 90 minutes here in texas, because the garage had never been used for anything other than storage, so no stains, or oil, or anything ..
took all day to do the whole 3 car garage ..
instructions are very easy to follow, and they send you everything you need in the kit .. other than the pole for the roller

I actually let it sit for 96 hours .. which is way overkill, I believe .. but there was no way I was gonna screw up that damn garage once I got done

I will post a pic or two when I get home .. don't think I have any of the process, though .. just the finished job.
