Detailing supplies

Where do you all get your detailing supplies. I detail cars on site as a hobby in the summers. I do 1 or 2 a week in my spare time, all by word of mouth. I have a tank of water and all the equipment in my truck, an I come to your house or work place and detail.

Anyways, when I was working for a detail shop about 5 years back, I bought all my supplies in bulk. By the box or 5 gallons at a time... and they lasted me 5 years. But I am just about out of everything. Mainly buffer pads for my Porter-Cable polisher and my wheel acid. Any recommendations on where to buy the stuff online?

- Thanks

I'm new here, but try Griots. www.griotsgarage.com They have the pads for the P/C orbital. And some of their products can be purchased in gallon quanities. I'm sold on their products. (well not the window cleaner) But take a look and order a free cataloge.

ADS. There are oodles upon oodles of online retailers out there that push just about any car detailing item that you may dream of...

Having dealt with at least 3 or 4 dozen of them out there, I can say with GREAT confidence that ADS is among the absolute best -- if not THE best.

I've met the owner... he and his wife are class acts and genuinely care about their customer base. I rarely buy anywhere else.

If you have one near you try "Big Lots." You'd be surprised at all the auto detailing, and Meguiars products they carry. Dollar General carrys all the Meg's Deep Crystal stuff. And right now at least my Dollar General has buy one get one free Meg's Quick Detailer products.

ADS is very good to deal with. Autopiacarcar.com, autogeeek.net, there are a bunch of them out there.
