If you truck is still under warrantee(which it is) FoMoCo will replace them.I've heard of this on some 04-05s but I think you're the first with an 06 that I've heard with this issue.

I had the same problem with my 06, I helped it along, and removed all the paint, for the Chrome look.

Mine too was peeling away. I have a 06 screw FX4, I used pressure washer to remove 90 percent of it and then used acetone to remove the rest. Just be careful if you decide to do the same.

I did the same as Blang,as far as using the pressure washer to remove most of the black paint. I did not find Accetone to work very well ( The way it did on the 99-2003 f150 badges) I used paint and varnish remover, that is made for vertical surfaces, its like a jelly ,I think it works better than Accetone, you can use a much better controlled amount on a Q tip to remove the residual amount of black paint after you pressure wash most of the paint off. If you do decide to do it take your time and tape everything off properly. Now you could have them replaced, like I did once already ,but if you go to the coin wash pressure washers, like we do in the cold weather climates,it is going to keep happening.

Being I have a black F-150, I like the black and chrome combo the 3-D contrast provides. Mine was flaking off the tailgate emblem. I used the touch up paint tube. So far it's not acting like it wants to flake off any longer. However, I don't recommend any caffeinated products before using touch up paint.

I used mineral spirits to take the paint off my badges. Use a paper towel and get it damp with the mineral spirits and then hold it on the badge for 30-60 seconds. then i used a plastic wire cap to scrape the paint out.

My 05 badges were peeling the day I bought it. Replaced under warranty.
