truck box polish
what is the best to use on a diamond bright truck box? my brother gave me his old one that has been sitting out in the back yard for over a year. everything works and looks great except the finish. just needs a lil polishing up......thanks
Is it a chrome finish or stainless looking?
If it's chrome, I'd get some Mother's chrome polish, a shady spot, and a few hours of sore arms. Theres also that powerball buffer that hooks to a drill, supposibly it works well but I've never tried it. Maybe someone else here has?

you could try that flitz stuff off of tv. i have never tried it but i think they have a money back guarantee. order it use it then send it back lol. actually depending on what it is i would use never dull or mothers
I used a Megs metal polish and my G100 with the 9006 (dark red) pad...the pad gets kind of torn up during use (and turns black), but I had a few of them...decided I could sacrifice one to use on the box once a year..
I also have and tried the Mothers ball...I only have a cordless drill so the battery had to get recharged a lot during the use of ball..

I had the same problem...decided to just paint the dang thing black...Looks waaay better now and I don't have to worry about polishing it!!

I would think a polished aluminum wheel pre-cleaner would make the polishing process an easier task.
I've seen this polish recently--looks interesting, especially so with the polishing pad that comes with it. And I have never read a bad review in regards to any of the PS21 products, none.
Then I believe a sealant would be in order. IMO, If you don't seal the surface, it would be another maintenance item to keep the shine.

My employer used the fritz ball on his sled (snowmobile). Did an ok job, then I told him to get some Autosol. Loved the look way more. I've been using the autosol on my dad's highway rigs and dump trucks for 20yrs. It was my childhood 'job'. Damn stuff shines like nothing else.
I had an SHO with the chrome tail pipes, it was burning oil and leaving a soot around the tips. A swipe of the brush/sponge when washing and it was still shining bright.
It is hard to find Autosol now a days, but if you have a heavy truck shop around they might have it.
I haven't used it yet on my 03 heritage step bars yet but it still shines like new anyways.

I reccomend the mothers mag and aluminum polish...used it on mine twice
but... after that 4 hours of labor at 25 bucks an hour, I figured i could have paid to have it powdercoated black...therefore I did... looks about 100X better and all I have to do is wash it off
