Todays detailing results

Well, I finally got around to the good detail job I have been wanting to do on my 2006 SCREW. Learned a few things, too.

Gratuitous reflections shots

The Scratch-X really worked well on most of the light brush scratches I had picked up during the winter. Very pleased with that. The NXT wax leaves a LOT less residue than the other waxes I've used. Minor deal but nice none the less. The cleaner and polisher was harder than I expected, it says to wipe off before it dries. You have to be FAST to get it off in time! Would be easier if I had a helper. Anyway, just wanted to show off my results and say a big THANK YOU to everyone here who has shared their knowledge on cleaning. I still need to improve, but things are looking good!

Thanks again - Craig

Looks good Mine is ridiculously dirty right now. It's been too cold to wash it. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Looks good. I recommend getting some tire shine and spray in the front wheel wells to get rid of the "gray" look.

Looks nice... we got 4" of snow today. So much for mine getting cleaned up... btw, it's been 3 weeks since the last wash.

Looks good! Now get in your wheel wells with some foaming tire spray and coat the whole inside, that'll really top it off

Same here. We still have a foot or so of snow on the ground and the news says more is coming.

Nice results, try working with a smaller area if your polish is drying too fast.

and i like your emblem overlay

Wheel wells, I know. Some things you never noticed until you start becoming neurotic about things. I never would have given it a minutes thought before, but I thought the same things when I saw the pictures!

Thanks for the comments!

Or just lower the truck and eliminate alot of the wheel well gap so you dont have to maintain them as much

looks good. Does that Scratch X take out the little swirly scatches? I have a ton on my black truck.

Yes. It will. The drawback is that S-X is a bit difficult to work over an entire vehicle and is really meant more as a 'spot' cleaner versus a full vehicle product -- although, it can be used for that.

Depending on the severity of the swirling in your paint, we may be able to recommend something that will work in a much more simplistic fashion versus that of S-X... do you have any photos of your swirling?
