Air Freshener

Not sure if this is where this belongs, but I guess it's general care.
My truck has lost it's "new car smell" so now it's time for an air freshener.
I know there is like 1,000,000,000,000 of them out there, but are there any that you really like a lot? Like a certain brand or scent?
I don't want any xmas trees and I don't want my truck to smell like a bowl of potpouri.
So what do you all use and how do you like it and where did you get it?

I usually get the ones from Wal-Mart that look like hockey pucks and they work pretty well. I'm just currious as to what others use because I'm getting a little bored with the same old crap.
I like the cologne idea.
Keep 'em coming!

I spray Axe down the wiper cowl every once in awhile. Everytime you turn on the vents you get a nice blast of Kilo

I like the Crannberry (*GASP*) christmas tree ones. The cool water ones too.
You could just hide them somewhere if you dont want people to see them lol
Ill tell you what to stay away from though-New Car Scent, Freedom, and Desert Heat xmas tree ones. Talk about a$$.

Febreeze works well! The gas station / car wash down the street has these great air freshener. They are small squares, not too overwhelming, and last 3 weeks!

The best one I have found (for me) has been the one from walmart that is a odor absorber/freshner. its a round white container about the size of a 5 inch speaker and has somekinda wierd looking odor absorbing stone in it... I just toss it under the seat and it last along time. Many people get in my truck and say "What smells good" They have a citrus type one and another fresh cent one.

Im also very fond of the ones in a small metal can that you have to pop the top off.

I think it works extremely well. I usually give a couple of squirts down the vents then crank it HIGH! Smells great, you can try that with you favorite thing, ozium, cologne, febreeze. If you have a really bad smell I really like the stuff called Colorox Fresh Scent it smells clean too but people don't spray that stuff on when they go to work or school. So my suggestion take your favorite cologne the one you wear everyday and spray it in your truck every so often so that you rub off on it and it rubs off on you. It's a win win situation.

I found this thread and I'd like to add my smell to the list. I've tried Lysol spray, but that lasts about a day if that long. The smell is like a faint oily smell... something you might expect if you were under the hood and into the engine. My truck is dry as a bone underneath, no drips, but in the cab there's this persistent faint odor (I just bought the truck). Should I shampoo the rugs or maybe it's in the headliner?

Just looking for ideas.
