Cleaned the truck today!

It hasn't rained for the last two days and actually saw the sun! Decided I better get a coat of wax on it before the rain starts again. It has been very wet in the Northwest and rain just about everyday for the last 40 days. I'm just glad it's not snow. I used Meguiar's NXT wax and I really like the shine.

It looks great! NXT is great stuff, can't wait till the snow melts. It sucks to have a new truck and not be able to wax it 4 months out of the year.

Looks pretty sharp!

As a hint, always apply two coats of your last step product -- this is a peeve of mine because it's something that I believe in...

In my opinion, and many other's opinion, two coats will help to ensure a uniform coverage of your 'last step product (LSP)' across your painted surfaces. In short, if you were to go too thin in some areas and even miss some other areas, odds are the second time you go around you may not miss those areas and ensure their coverage...

Some will contest that you're simply removing the first layer -- this would be true with some products however; all in all, you're leaving behind such a thin layer of 'protection' that even a little bit added to an already existent layer will benefit the overall protection and longevity/durability in my opinion...

Thanks!

I think I might try to put a coat of #16 on tomorrow. Last time I put #16 on it was too thick and a bear to get off. Hopefully the weather will hold off a little longer and I can get good coats of wax on.

Put a coat of #16 on top of the NXT. Had to do it in the garage since the rain has returned and looks like rain everyday for a while.

NXT / #16, in my honest opinion, is a VERY tough combo to beat... I **LOVE** #16!

Nice work!!!

Nice looking truck! I should have bought the supercrew. Four full size doors easier to get in and out of. We had two days of sunshine in Portland. Where were you???? Now it's back to rain, rain, rain and more rain.

Thanks..I was thinking the same about yours. I wanted the Scab, I like the way it looks better. But the girls were with me when I was test driving vehicle and they really wanted the extra room. I mean, I have my seat, but someone was gettin' in the back.

It's nice having the cap on it for the winter up here. But in the spring I can't wait to have a new truck when I remove the top.

Where did you get the grille??? That looks nice. My youngest kid is graduating this year so I don't get in the back often but it would be easier to open the doors with a supercrew. Maybe my next truck will be a screw.

Actually...it came as a package from the dealer. Tires, rims, flares, top, grill, leveling kit, everything. It makes it nice as it's all covered under the 3-36 warranty.
