Got some serious work to do
I just shipped my HD from Houston to England.
Here's a before shot, i.e. the condition it was in when I left it at the shippers that end.

I picked it up today from the docks in the UK.
Here is how it looks now.

I am so p!ssed. Would you believe that it was shipped in a container?
How on earth can you get something so dirty driving it in a steel box one end and out the other end.
It looked like somebody had fun splashing it through the worlds muddiest puddle and the interior is filthy.
There is a huge oily footprint on the passenger seat (light gray leather) and both mirrors are scratched.
Fortunately there is no panel damage but one of the wags did scrawl "Suck my *****" into the dust on the rear window. Lucky it wasn't one of the black panels.
Worst of all, there is no comeback on anyone at all because the truck is loaded/unloaded by dockworkers who seem to take great delight in screwing up somebody elses truck. I want revenge!!!!!
Just had to vent.
Busy day tomorrow.

I can beleive the dirt on the floor and the dirt on the out side. Docks are a dirty place. The foot print on the seat probably came from when they climbed in through the window when it was in the container.
You would think that they would have thrown a towel or some thing????
As far as scratches on the mirrors????

The scratches aren't on the glass. On the backs.
Looks like the forgot (
) to fold the mirrors in when it got put into the container.
Ho hum, they are only plastic. At least there was no panel damage which is the main thing. The crap will clean off, no big deal.
I just hoped that they would treat my truck with a little respect, that's all.

I wouldn't expect anything less from the scumbag public.
If you did complain about it, they wouldn't do anything about it except say that they're sorry while laughing at you behind your back. They don't give a "FLAMING BAG OF SHIAT." Hmmm, there's an idea...

EnglishAdam,
That really sucks. God must love "jerks"... he certainly makes enough of them.
Anyhow, I suspect the "jerks" who did that were envious of you and your great ride. What really surprises me is that they knew how to spell those three words.
It's probably the only time they can construct a complete sentence.

Adam, I know you had no choice, to get the HD to England you had to ship it as there are no roads from here to there
I'm sorry for the treatment it received, it always angers me when people treat my vehicle with disrespect.
That kind of treatment is exactly why we drove my truck to Alaska in 2000 and why we drove it back to the lower 48 this year. We could have had the Coast Guard ship it for us but I didn't want those schmucks touching my baby, and seeing the condition of yours, I'm glad I drove! Even though it did get kicked by a horse on the trip up
Ahhh, that's another story for another day!

Damn -- seeing those pictures makes me wonder what happend to your truck that DIDN'T leave a mark! Have you noticed any strange odors inside the vehicle since you've gotten it back?
But seriously -- that really sucks to have your beloved HD treated like that!
Shine her up and make her look pretty again!

Thanks for the support guys and gals.
I spent a pretty much a whole day today putting it back to it's former glory.
I was up pretty early because I didn't have time to do it Saturday evening and it was kinda hard to sleep knowing that it was sitting outside all covered in crap.
I just got finished when it started to rain though.
Normally this would bother me somewhat but the rain is clean and was beading up nicely
The inside came up fine and now smells all leathery again. I'd hate to see that oil stain come off the KR leather though.
No pictures because of the rain but you already know how it looks again.
Hot stock tip: Buy shares in Megs, Lexol and microfibre towels .
I need to restock
