Before and After Pics

Can someone tell me how to post pics in my posts?

I've got some before and after photos I'd like to share.

Today I used:

NXT Wash
Sonus Drying towels
No clay - it didn't need it
1 coat - #80 PC at 4-4.5
1 coat - NXT Tech Wax PC at 2.5
I used NXT protectant on trim
Stoners Invisible Glass
Turtle Wax Chrome Polish (had this for awhile - trying to use it up)
Viper MF bonnets for Tech Wax removal - PC at 5 - these things worked incredibly well!!

Tomorrow, I will add another coat of Tech Wax and a coat of either #16 or #26...haven't decided yet.

Today was overcast so these pics could be a lot better

Thanks Boss...It sure means a lot coming from you.

One thing I did find out today was what Orange Peel looks like.

But other than that I'm really happy with how she looks

Thanks RP!

This was my first time using the PC and also my first time using Meguiar's professional line of products.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I used #17 to clean all plastic before the protectant.

A big thanks to RP and Boss for their help and guidance on product selection, etc.

RP/Boss/Anyone:

What's the best way to get the #16 out of the can and onto my polishing pad? Do you use a handheld foam pad, dip into the can, and then wipe it on the polishing pad that's on the PC?

A paint stirring stick works well.

SL

P.S. Meg M-1611 ( #16 paste ) still available for a short time.

slippy,

Well, I don't normally apply a hard paste wax like #16 with a PC. If I were going to, I would probably do something like this:

Take a hand pad (as you suggested), and dip it in the can, and then spread a little evenly on the PC pad. Then, take the foam hand pad and start applying the wax to those areas where the PC is not going to get to, or areas that you might want to have better control of application......... like around the trim, emblems, the bed cap....... etc. It will probably take a few light "dips" into the can to get all those areas, so you should have the PC pad pretty well primed with wax when you start using it.

After than, you can continue to add a bit more wax to the PC pad by dipping the hand app into the can and applying to the PC pad, or you can use a Popsicle stick/paint stick as previously suggested. I think the applicator would minimize the "chunks" of wax that you might get with a stick.

To be honest, I don't find much of an advantage to applying hard paste waxes with a PC. However, "removing" waxes with a PC and a high quality bonnet sometimes adds something nice to the process.
