Question Removal of dealership logo - Updated!

I was just curious, if you are able to remove the painted dealership logo on the tailgate of the truck? I was hoping if there is an easy way to do this, or am I stuck with it until I ever decide to paint the truck. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Update:
Thanks guys for all of the info. I was able to use the hair dryer and it came right off. After a little buffing and using some Meguiar's Quik Detailer, looks like there wasn't a logo there, just like I wanted. Thanks again.

Most of them are stick-ons. Grab your wife's hairdryer and warm it up, then you should be able to peel it off (careful, it's hot). Then you should be able to buff/ polish out any remaining marks.

What he said!

It's probably not painted on (way too much expense for a stealership to have them done that way)... It's probably vinyl or adhesive.

The vinyl ones peel off nice and easy... some of the adhesive ones are a bit more contrary.

There is also a wheel that you use in a drill that shops use to remove pinstripes. Sort of like a big eraser. I think that 3M makes it and you can get it at an auto paint store.

i'd get rid of it quick, before your paint fades at different rates and then you're stuck with an outline/ghost of the sticker in your paint...
