Question Lariat Color Choice

It's about time for me to trade in the '95 Explorer and order the new Lariat 4x4. I've had no problems deciding on options with the exception of color. I'd like this boards knowledge, not just opinions, of the long term looks of the below colors. The vehicle will be a daily driver that will see frequent trips to the hunting camp.

Choices narrowed down to:

White / Az Beige
Black / Az Beige
Med Wedgewood Blue / Az Beige
Dark Stone / Az Beige

Which color will scratches be least evident on? or which color will I have the most luck concealing scratches?
Which color will show the least dirt?
Which color do each of you feel will retain its luster after 8 yrs? Assuming I clean each of them equally

Thanks in advance for the help, I'm stumped....

My guess would be the white/beige combo, but I am not familiar with the dard stone. I bet its a pretty sweet looking color. Don't get black. It looks the better than any other color when it is clean and well taken care of but it is a very big committment to care for and will show ALL scratches.

Well I got the black/az beige. I agree with bigsherm its the best looking color, but needs waxing and tlc. My 99f150 was white and it would be the best to hide scraches. But that wedgewood blue looks great also. Hell this didn't help you any. Good luck!

I've seen every color that you listed...

Easily, the hands down choice for ease of care is white. Black and any other dark color will be a lot of work... trust me.

I love my blue but while it isn't as bad as black it still shows quick especially in the winter with road salt and snow. Still my favorite Lariat color.

This is getting really difficult, I'm starting to want to put in the extra TLC and get a more appealing color than white, although it was my original choice. It's just the door dings and such that I cannot control that worry me.

Rock Pick - what do you think about the Dark Stone, it's a unique color, that definately changes with light?

If I could give up the creature comforts of the Lariat, which I can't, I would have no problems. Definately my favorite would be the white/dr grey that comes in teh Fx4. Too bad thats not an option for me.

I guess you've got me there... I'm not sure.

I'd suspect that it'd tend to fall more in the 'arizona beige' catergory in that it will show scratches and such but not on a 'big time' level. Not sure honestly...

From a door ding perspective, I think just about every color will show them. It's all going to depend on the light in which you're viewing them...

Black will show scratches the most. White will show dirt the most. Earth tones will hide dirt the best, but they also make you less visible to other drivers.

Of those four choices, I like the stone best and wedgewood blue second. I'd take the Aspen Green over all of them though (I got to drool over Gearhead's '05 King Ranch last weekend).

Go all Az Beige! Someday I may take it to the shop to get a black lower 2-tone look. That would look hella-cool.

Yup, leveled via Daystar. The only two-tone I really like is the black/Az beige... but that's just a bee-yatch to take care of. The others just don't look right to me. So, solid Az Beige it is! And honestly, I love this color and get a ton of compliments on it. To each his own though!
