I was turned onto paintscratch.com by fellow member John&Dar. Their service has been great thus far and a quality product.

Have you checked your local Pep Boys for a duplicolor match? Check out Duplicolor.com as well. Good luck!

I believe paintscratch.com allows you to enter the exact year, make, model, and color code (typically available on a door sticker) for your vehicle.

Whatever walmart sells, they advertise as "exact match" I grabbed the paint code off my driver door and found the paint, it was a small bottle with a combination pen/brush. I had a chip on my tailgate i wanted painted, so i tried to fix it with that. It looks horrible, its a entirely different shade of gray...I made sure i shook the bottle really well beforehand, had the truck cleaned, and i havent used the stuff since...

I was curious, what would be the procedure for touching up let's say paint chips on the painted bumpers?

Prep, application, Wax?

I have not seen a thread on this and was thinking about touching up some nicks the next time I clay and wax.

Thanks

There's a website that tells you how to fix a scratch on your truck, but I don't know about the bumper. I would think it would be the same procedure since our bumpers are metal. I don't know the website off hand, but maybe rockpick will chime in because he was the one who showed me the site.

I think it's something like www.autmotivecarcare.com or something like that.

Hey thanks joe. I'll check it out.

BTW, I used to live in titusville. Lived down there in 87-89. I went to titusville high my sophomore and junior year. I lived in Royal Oak Country Club subdivision.
How is titusville? I haven't been back down there since I left.
