Polishing questions.

OK, I ran out of sunlight tonight but, I got Step 1 & 2 in of the Meguires process. I was thinking about doing the Color-X on it tomorrow(have to buy it first). My question is would it be a waste of time doing a second polish? My paint looks nice, but I want it better. Any thoughts?

The cleaner will help I suspect as I believe your truck was a 98 model? You probably have a slight amount of oxidation if so (just a hunch).

The polish step, depending on your surface right now, may or may not help. The #2 in the Deep Crystal line is a nice product but isn't overly agressive on the polishing because it's a consumer line product. Not to say that consumer products are poor but, more trying to say that they are less agressive so that an average 'Joe' (pardon the pun) can use them and not mess up their paint. I mean, think about putting a consumer product out there with an abrasive characteristic of Meguiar's #85 Diamond-Cut Compound

My suggestion is this... use all three products. 1 then 2 then Color-X.

Color-X will be the least agressive on the polishing but will add a protective layer that is esential to protecting your paint (wax). If I were you (but I'm not because I don't look 'right' in a speedo), I'd follow the Scratch-X with either the #3 step or some other form of a nice pure wax (like #26 maybe).

Did you mean Color-X? Or do a Stratch-X treatment too?

After the Color-X i was thinking of doing a NXT Tech Wax, then #3. Or should I skip the NXT all together?

DOH!

Sorry about that. I meant Color-X; not Scratch-X.

I think your plan is solid. Color-X, NXT, #3 of the Deep Crystal System.

All systems go.

No problem Joe.

In other news...

The Phish lost Ricky. Looks like, rather than going double, I'm going to go 'nothing'. Those are some GREAT BIG shoes to fill...

The fins aren't stupid. They'll pull someting out of their a$$.

Now for the pics:

Truck was in the garage so the pics didn't come out well. I will tell you this the minor swirl marks that I had are gone. Too bad my truck has some piting I would call it?? Takes away from that 'perfect' shine. How would I get rid of the piting?? If I can tomorrow I'll get a pic if not you'll have to wait a week because I'm heading to miami for a week
