How Often Do You Wash Your Truck?

Let's say it rains every other day... Do you wash your truck on the days it's not raining?

The reason I ask is because I'm on wash #4 over the past 5 days. Damn afternoon rain showers.

I wash it usually once a week... or not at all... Depends on what I'm doing. If I'm going to a meet or something, then I'll wash it. If I see my truck is covered with bird poop or something else, then I'll wash it.

Just dirty... ermmm....

Well I until I can figure out how to remove the swirls and the insane amount of cobweb marks on my truck i 'll wash it. Last time was about 2 weeks ago for the first time in 3 months without wax either. That's because I broke down and gave it a once over with Platinum. Other until I can find a way to remove the swirls and get some new pads for my PC, I'm letting it go. Usually on a normal basis, couple times a month,,,,91

Last year when it was new, I was pretty **** about it, but now that it's old, I've relaxed somewhat.

I still give it a heavy paint treatment 2x a year, but now it's a touchless car wash once a week, and a hand wash once per week.

I've turned into a lazy sumbich.

My truck's only been washed five times since the day I bought it! Oh wait, I just bought it 3 1/2 weeks ago. Never mind.

On average, every other week during the warm months. Just no time, plus 3 vehicles to do.

Maybe there is something wrong with that #26 you like so much. Unless I drive my vehicles on the freeway in the rain, they stay pretty clean after a couple showers.

If it hasn't been raining then every other week. When it don't rain about all I have to do is take the cal duster to it. Durning the rain season sometimes once a week, depends...

I wash mine usually every weekend if it's not raining. If it rains, I wait until the next sunny day.

Man, I thought I was the only one that did that! I usually try to get mine every other weekend.

Hey 01, you might check with the pro detailers out here on this, but I read somewhere that using a duster was very bad for the finish (I believe the article said it put a lot of scratches in the finish). At any rate, just tryin' to pass along something I'd read.

I'm not sure how the Cali duster could scratch as there is not pressure applied (if you're using it correctly).

I guess it could though... not sure...

I use one religiously (have for years and years) and have never noticed any scratching.... then again, like I mentioned, I apply no pressure. Just the weight of the fibers running across the surface...that's it.

About 4 times a week. It seems though, that anytime a friend spots it , the truck is dirty. Oh well. /
