RainX makes a wax?

Ok, I have been using RainX on all of my vehicle windows for nearly ten years now and I just heard that they now make a wax? Has anyone ever tried it, I don't know if I like the idea of them making wax, however, the product for glass is excellent at repelling water, snow and ice. So what are some of your opinions on this idea of RainX making wax. I personally like my Maguires, just about to do my spring wax and want to get some input.

Speedy.

I'm always hesitant to try a new product unless it comes HIGHLY recommended by another user. At this point, I've heard absolutely no chatter about the Rain-X wax. I, too, have seen it on the shelf at my local 'super center' but, I think I'll refrain.

Like you, I'm very much a Meguiars user and think that their products are superior to most of what is available out there.

I'd stick with the old 'stand-by' if I was you...

I saw a comercial for the Rain-X wax yesterday. I thought it said it was a polymere sealant. I have never been sold on Rain-X glass treatment, though. I wouldn't be afraid to try the new wax, but I have no reason to try something else right now.

I know what you mean, I have enough Maguires left to do my spring wax and will be using the Maguires. My main reason I started thread is to see if anyone either is using or has tried the RainX wax. Not going to try it unless someone else on here has something good to say about it.

My wife purchased some of the Rain-X wax a while ago. It comes in a black can. It works OK but it didn't last very long...I ended up going back to Meguiar's High Tech #26. It lasts much better.

Great now I know I wont use it. There's enough sheet metal to wax on these trucks without having to wax it more frequently. I'll stick with my Maguires for sure. Thanks for the feedback.

Hmm... black can? The ones I've seen were in a 'blue colored' container...

Wonder if it was the same stuff?

The black can stuff an old product, a cheap carnauba. They've sold it for years. The new stuff I saw advertised is in a blue bottle, like RP.
