Want to get Zanio!
I'm interested in the Zanio Product and was wondering what you guys recomend getting. I never used this before so what to get for the first time? Ant tips tricks? What to use to wash the truck? What to use to keep Weld polished rims free from all the elements of salt water marks etc?
On Zaino
Here is a thread that I found helpful on Zaino with lots of input from lots of people.

I just did the Zaino treatment on my truck. That means
1. Wash with Dawn - I did it twice just to be sure I had all the wax off cuz I was still seeing some beading in some locations.
2. Then I claybar'd the whole truck.
A NOTE ABOUT CLAYBar. It is about 2 1/2 inches wide by about 4 inches tall by about 1/4 inch thick. They tell you to keep it lubricated with Z7 (Whoops - Corrected this post I previously said Z6 - Use 1/2 cap of Z7 in a spray bottle) while you are using it and they mean it. If you don't keep it WELL lubricated it will suddenly stop on the side of your truck (to your surprise), you will lose your grip and it will fall on the ground potentially gathering nasty grit. It would only take one tiny bit of grit to cause a disaster to your finish.
3. Washed with Z7 and dried it with some terry cloth towels.
4. Put 9-10 drops of ZFX in a 2 oz. bottle of Z2, shake and wait 5-10 minutes.
5. Then I put on 2 coats of the ZFX/Z2 and after each coat dried I removed it with clean white terry cloth towels. I wanted to do 3 coats but it was cold and it started to rain after I finished with the 2 coats.
6. I then finished with the Z6 Gloss Enhancer.
I must say, it put a really hard, clear, beautiful finish on my truck. It has rained here pretty consistantly since I Zaino'd my truck and although it has only been on for about 2 weeks I am REALLY pleased with the results.

Here's a trick that I use... when you buy the clay (whatever brand you buy - I use Meguiars Body Shop Professional Mirror Glaze Clay) take the bar(s) that you get and divide them in half. The way I see it, WHEN (not if because you will drop it eventually) you drop your clay, you're only loosing half of the bar...
I say this because you should *NEVER* use clay that has hit the ground. Like THall mentioned, one tiny grain will cause a disaster on your finish.
In fact, I culled half a bar of clay today because it hit the floor in my garage while claying my truck. It's painful to toss a full $8 block o' clay in the garbage thus, having two $4 pieces makes it somewhat easier...
Also, be sure to knead your clay while using it. It'll really help the longevity of the clay.
Just a tip...

Another helpful hint for clay barring. You can also mix some Z-7 (car wash) with water in a spray bottle. Not sure the size I have but I would guess about a 12oz - 16oz bottle. I put one cap full of Z-7 and the rest water. It works great. It is much cheaper then using the Z-6 (shine).
ZAINO, you got to just love that magical stuff...

ZAINO, you got to just love that magical stuff... I am going to go edit my previous post to correct my statement.
I like RockPicks idea about spliting the claybar pads too. Great idea.

THall:
Thanks, I knew I read that somewhere, but wasn't sure where (the Z-7 carwash mixed with water).
RockPicks is a good guy...

Man, I was beat! But it's definately worth the time and effort. Even my buddies at work noticed the difference, it's a deep mirror-like shine. Definately get it and ask for the application instructions from Sal at Zaino.
