Just a question?? Was thinking on putting x-mas lights around the bed on my truck.. Just was going to get a DC to AC converter
Was just wondering if it would be legal to do this?? Going to be traveling through Virgina,West Virgian,Maryland then to Pa.On x-mas eve.. Any thoughts?????

check out "LeakyLightning" gallery at ftw. he did that a few years ago.
it is illegal though if you can see them from the road. its a distraction to other drivers or something like that

Illegal, yes. Would any cop I have ever met give you a ticket for it? NO. The worst I can see happening (uness they are those running lights or icicle things) is them making you turn them off.
Unless cops up there are bigger _________ (insert favorite anti-cop adjective here) than they are here... if so, do it at your own risk.

Hey I'm a cop and take offense to all the cop bashing!! Just kidding, I am a cop and if you do this you will be breaking the law. I also don't know of alot of police officers that would ticket you for this. But they could.
Now for the lighter side of things. When I was younger, the "big" stereo craze was just starting. We used to take Christmas lights and hook them up to our speaker wires so they would flash with the bass.(kind of cheesey but we were young and dumb, and broke)
I don't remember the exact number but I think it was 8 lights in a row would = 12 volts(1.5 volts each). Again I can't garantee this but you can take an old strand of lights and hook it up to your battery(unhooked of couse) and try it.
Just a thought,
Mike
