Learning from the 'Detroit 3-S Method' of problem-resolution (Shoot, Shovel and Silence), I'd vote for the drop-in liner.

Besides, you'll never have any rust due to trapped moisture -- a selling point .

Thumbs up

Sounds like a First Class prep job for a drop-in to me.

Pop in a drop in, then when it wears out, even more Herculiner will be worn off automatically.

I'll agree with the others and say put in a drop in.

I'll keep the trend going and say just drop one in.

It depends on what you call re-doing the herculiner. My project wasn't the best either in some spots. I tried to spread the herculiner too thin and do too much. I plan to just slap some more on it like the kit says. And mine is over 6 months old. Obviously you don't want to try and get rid of the old and re-do it that way. I don't know, but my truck deserves better than a drop in

I also did the Herculiner. I have an 8 foot bed, and even with the extra quart it went on too thin. I bought a rubber mat and through over it.
Wish I would've spent the money and had it done professionally.

I did the same thing, although my application went pretty well. But I did so with the same intention of having the herculiner to cover up scratches already in the bed and then drop in the bed rug. I have not got the bed rug yet but that is at least my plan.

What's this Bedrug Ya'll talking about? I would assume you need a Toneau (sp?) for that? My roll bar is pretty prohibitive when it comes to that

my thought is have u looked in to what it would cost to have a spray in put over the old and how much extra for the prep work they would charge versus the cost of a drop in and a bedrug.
