Undercover SE Smooth

I need some reviews on the Undercover Se Smooth Tonneau cover (painted).

I am in the market for a tonneau cover. I like the look of the Leer 700 but like the fact that the Undercover Se Smooth is stronger, and can be taken off easily.

originally i was thinking about the Leer 700 or the Ranch Legacy but soon set me mind on the 700 now a friend of mine said to look into the Undercover Tonneaus so figured id come here and ask for some reviews

Thanks in advance

SE reviews

The SE website has a gallery of photos but no testimonial area yet. We are working on adding them.

If you could contact me at information@undercoverinfo.com and give me your zip code I would be glad to give you as many SE Smooth authorized dealers in your area as I can.

We have several thousand SE Smooth covers in the field with great success and satisfaction.

Thanks for your interest and I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Does the smooth mount different than the regular SE?

Yes that is correct, we do not currently build the SE or SE Smooth for the older 6.5' bed.
I do believe that application may be close to the top of the build list for this year though. I don't have any kind of expected release.

The SE and Smooth cover mount exactly the same with our new Hidden Hinge design.

The undercovers are too big and bulky looking as are most tonneau covers.
I wish you guys made a flush paintable cover, no one sells them other than lazer lite but they want a steep $1400 for theirs.

If it's flush ..... why paint it?

The SE bulky? I don't think so at all! Also, a tonneau that COVERS your rails and tailgate is less likely to leak.

X2 ... ... Very nice looking cover, accents a truck well.

Like the single lock too.

Not available for Flareside though.

I have a buddy that has the three section tri fold type cover, he's replaced seals between the panels once and still get's some leakage along edges or end.

Here's a painted SE. This truck is way up there in Canada! (Sorry, not a Ford.)

Well, I meant if it's flush, why is it important to paint it body color ...
... no one sees it unless they are looking down on it. Most come black, the flush ones anyway. To paint one to match costs dang near what the cover costs in some good shops.

It was just a thought.

The undercovers have a crappy fit on the front top edge. They show WAY too much of the black textured box rail cap for my liking. They are the worst fitting ones I have seen in that specific area of the box. Need major cosmetic improvement. They should hide the entire box rail cap, especially on a paint to match SE Smooth.
