I have narrowed it down to these two, there so close in price, I can't make up my mind. Which one and why? Does anyone haveone?

actually I know of a dealer that will sell you the latest F1 cover for slightly less than the Rollbak, and the HD would be $100 less. Email me for the details. I'd go with the Bakflip. The Rollbak takes up more bed space and it is not as watertight, it tends to leak along the tailgate. My brother had one for a while and didn't care for it and sold it. Meanwhile I have the Bakflip HD and love it, it's been working out great for 17 months now and I don't get any leaks.

Yea, really.

The look great, but quality is questionable.

Just from reading around the truck forums, the BFlip probably works best with a Ford and the worst for a Toyota. Typically around the year mark is when things go bad.

^yeah but weren't those the older covers, like the G1 and maybe a few of the early G2's? I'm pretty sure BAK recognized the problems and upgraded the hinge and seal designs. And they have really good customer service and I think they replaced alot of those people's covers that you are referring to from the forums.

The HD model has been over 2 years I believe (mine is 17 months old) and I haven't read about any major issues with it. And the F1 has been out for 8 months now and I haven't heard of any problems with it either.

^^^^ No, it's impossible to leave everyone 100% satisfied.

For instance, I have a bakflip and love it, but there are things I would like changed. Therefore, I'm not 100% satisfied.

Correct. Also, the F1 is 35% more ridged than the G2 due to a stiffer inner core material.

I have neither, so I'm just speculating, but I would go with the roll-bak simply because it looks like it gets further out of the way when retracted. I concluded that just from the picture, nothing else. Otherwise, I like the look of the bak-flip better
