I got this from a friend, but not the hardware. Any advice on what I need or where I can get it?

is it the factory one? if so the only hardware is a special bolt on each side that it clips onto, not sure what the technical name for it is or where to obtain them other then a salvage yard.

You can get the hardware from Ford. Do a search and you'll find the part numbers.

The plastic piece that holds the gate together when it is stowed is now broken (right side)..... Brand new and the dealer won't replace it. It's not like any force was put on it either. I need to check and see if I can buy just the piece that bolts on to the truck. It looks like the hinges come apart.

Be careful

Here is a good thread on hardware you'll need.

Here is another thread on securing your extender so it cannot be stolen.

Solution on the bolt that works for the bed extender

Bob King Ranch told me about a "Doorman" door striker bolt ($8.69) at O'Reilly's (aka Kragen). I got two of them and they work great. I used the flat, hard plastic washer and an 11/16" nut, through the void area behind the tail light of my '05 Screw and they work great. Pull the light to line up the where the hole is if you have Line-X . I did not and the first hole I drilled, went right in the hole...I thought that was easy. The next one was a little off (I was a little to anxious) but I got it fixed. I just need some grommets, but it will work for now without them.
