Two New DiamondBack Covers
Two New DiamondBack Covers
TruckGasm,
As a Diamondback Cover owner let me be the first to say,
THIS IS AN F150 FORUM! Your pictures are of a Cheby!
I like the 270, is it available in a HD
If so, I'd like to see it in an ATV side load package.

Those are the only two pictures DiamondBack has released. DiamondBack doesn't even have the info on their website yet. If they had pics with Fords, I certainly would have posted those pics instead of the Chevys.
There is only one model of the 180 and 270. I'll find out what their load rating is and get back to you.

They have not yet responded with a load rating yet.
More info for you.
"MSRP" is DiamondBacks's suggested retail price which may be different than a dealer's price to you.
MSRP before shipping costs for the 180 for a short bed is $1,099.
MSRP before shipping costs for the 270 for a short bed is $1,349.
Options for the covers:
Elevated 4" high profile.
Center mounted light bar.

Just getting used to mine and now they come out with a new one !
BTW I'm still finding some places that need some foam tape to seal. Not a big deal but it's like all the other "no alteration needed stuff " ! So far I find it's a handy way to do things .

mete,
I prefer rubber adhesive seal over foam tape.
Along the front of your box/cab, and the bottom of your tailgate too.
TruckGasm,
Unexceptable answer. Inform Scott, that all demo pictures must now be on a FORD.
He can use my truck to start!
I don't like the taller profile.
Need pic's of the other options.
Shortly, after I recieved mine, I thought the panel closest to the cab would be nice if it "winged" like
a cross over tool box.
Lastly, I think they look better Line-X extra-black.

Tungstentiller, I've been driving my new one only on nice days using the old one for the salt etc. Today there was some residual salt on the road and later found some in the back of the bed .I wondered where it was from but the bottom of the tailgate would be a probable source , .Thanks.
mete,
I would look a long the top edge, of the front of the box.
The bed rail covers leave a 1/4 inch gap.
I'd highly recommend the hollow rubber adhesive weather strip.
IMO, it's three dimensional shape performs better than foam tape.
Lastly, I plan to add a second strip at the top of the tail gate.
However, I haven't had time or the material to add it.

The suggestions seemed to work fine --until yesterday !! With very high winds and very heavy rain it found small opeings or forced it's way in ! Not surprising at all considering the conditions.
I haven't taken a good look yet. I got my truck properly broken in for rally work this weekend ,very cold, ice etc. I do radio work at www.rallynewyork.net
Yesterday I drove on I84 here in New York and it was wild weather with very high winds and rain enough so it could very easily have driven rain [much of it was sideways] right under the gasket .Finding where it came from will be like finding a roof leak on your house.
BTW I used 4WD all the way to help fight the crosswinds.....The sealing of the bottom of the tailgate apparently solved that problem [1/4 " foam tape ].
