Roll Up Tonneau Cover any ideas

Alright ive been doing alot of research and alot of searching on here but havent nailed it down to one yet?

This is what i want
1. Roll up tonneau cover
2. Something sturdy and durable for cold n heat
3. Low profile
4. No snaps

I think i narrowed it down to these 2 but i wont rule out anything else you guys suggest

1. Access Loredo
2. TruXedo Lo Pro QT

Any ideas or pics would be greatly appreciated!

I need to hear the pro and cons of them - what you guys experienced with these?

I have a lund roll up that works very well. I know it's not one of the two you mentioned but just thought I'd toss it out for you. It mounts on the inside of the bed rails with 6 clamps.

Bought mine in 2004, and have since put it on 3 different trucks (04, 05, and 08). Still in good shape, looks as good as the day I put it on and still works great.

I've had toppers, a hard tonneau and this is my first soft roll up. I went with the Access Loreado almost two years ago because it was a cheap way to cover my bed and I didn't want the look of a hard cover or the expense of the full topper. So far really like it. All caps have good and bad points so I'll just give you my thoughts of the soft.

Pros:
Looks great - very low profile
In-expensive
Easy to install
Great if you actually have to haul something in your truck
Water and element resistant - leaks dust on dirt roads but is water resistant if you seal your tailgate.

Cons:
Not Secure
Not water or element proof
Have to adjust tension in every climate change to keep tight.

Mine has worked for what I need but if you buy a soft rollup, make sure it has some sort of easy tension adjustment to keep it tight. I live in the area of the country where we have temp extremes from day to day and it seems like I have to adjust it everytime the temps get above 60.

One of the biggest reasons I went with the Lund was because of the tension adjustment the poster above mentioned.

It's right there at the back, one turn one direction for winter, and a turn back the other way for summer. Easy.

Oh, never had water get in the bed either.

Wow great info guys...

Yeah the security of it is not really a big problem for me.

The leaking would be- but im willing to take a chance with a soft roll up.

I haul motorcycles in the bed so i need a soft roll up.

I never looked at the Lund- but after you guys telling me about it- i just might go Lund. It looks very nice and 340 bucks shipped is cheaper than what i was looking at. Do you know if i can get this Lund one for any cheaper???

I've never seen the Lund in person but for $340, free shipping and a free $30 tailgate seal, seems allot better than the deal I got on my Access from the same place.

Access Cover has tension adjustments. Click below to watch an installation of an Access Lorado cover.

I had an electric one on my 98 stepside. Good idea but it sucked. The motor was always going out and it was not weather tite, leaked water really bad. The manual ones seem to work ok but they take up about a foot of your bed length, so if you have a screw with a 5.5 bed, doesn't leave you with much.

i have the Manual one , and it takes up a little bit of room but not that much, wasnt a deal breaker for me. they arnt designed to be leak proof just resistant. hasnt rained sense i got mine just a little snow and ice.

here is a pic of the thing closed ill take a pic of it inside the bed so u can see how much room it takes up when the suns up

I carry bikes in my truck - the roll up ones will work better for what i need it to do. For 200 bucks i dont mind spending on a soft cover.

I have a Truxedo. It works great. Amazon.com is a good source. They ship for free and don't charge tax.

I just ordered an Access Lorado. I was looking at that or the truxedo lopro. I chose the Access for 2 reasons. My cousin has had one for 6 years and it still works and looks brand new. And I like the way they look over the tailgate compared to the truxedo, the Access has a beveled edge that matches the sides so it looks more finished. cleaner.
