If you are worried about the black matching, I suggest a black LINE-X Xtra color match. We actually did that once for a bedliner.

The dealer will use the factory paint code and the Xtra will be mixed with the same pigment formula.

The bumper will sparkle in the sun and look very nice, but it won't look like your truck's paint because the LINE-X will have a texture and your truck's paint is smooth.

Dealers are free to set their own prices, so you really should check with your local dealers.

Truck I noticed when you did my truck that your wife had her bumper done with the line-x. I thought it looked great. If I remember right her car was white. I have only had my truck since February and I already have some very small chips from rocks and whatever other junk gets kicked up. Been thinking about coming to see you and getting your thoughts on it.

Your info is correct. We were applying a white color matched bedliner to a truck and my wife said, hey, let's do my bumper. (Actually, it was just the top portion of her bumper.) I said, well, it won't match because it's a different paint code. She said, eh, close enough, so we did it.

LINE-X will work perfectly to prevent rock chips on your bumper!

Not a Ford, but....

the only thing im gonna say about line-x on bumpers, dont do it and expect it to stay on if your bumping and rubbing rocks.

I think the texture looks kind of cool on the bumper. I don't do any major off roading so the rocks I am speaking of are mainly from driving down the highway etc. Having the wheel wells done is something else I would like to do as well.

Might be cool to do them silver if you are worried about the blacks not matching

I personally like to look of Line-xed bumpers. There is a 98 F150 that lives near me who has a tan truck with the blue line-x and it looks awesome. Good mod!!(for a chevy)
