LineX Rocker Panels?
LineX Rocker Panels?
Ok i'm not to sure if this was suppose to go in here or somewhere else but I figured this is probaly the best place.
I have a White 2003 F-150 thats got the tan strip running along the bottom and I want it white. The two options i'm debating is either just painting it and calling it good, or should I put color matched line X all along. In 2 weeks I have 35x12.5 tires going on and I don't want the paint to chip. So it'd problay be better to LineX it, but my only reason for contemplating this is that I dont want it to be extremely noticeable.
Is it possible for them to make less bumpy/rough and more smooth so that you cna't really notice it?

LINE-X with LINE-X Xtra will work very nice for you. The dealer can vary the texture, so just tell him to apply a very light texture. However, you should realize that it will have some texture and will not be as smooth as your truck's paint. And as a bonus, bug juice cleans off of Xtra very easily.

Ahh sweet that looks just perfect lol. I knew it wasn't going to be as smooth as paint but i just didn't want it looking extra globby lol. Are one of those trucks? If so how much was it to get done?
The next question is should i go all around the wheel wells, or just the bottom 6"?

Dealers are free to set their own prices, so you should check with your closest dealer. Take your truck to him and let him suggest how high it should be. You can find your closest dealer by using the dealer search function at www.golinex.com

I did this myself on my 99 a few weeks ago however I used the duplicolor roll on bed liner stuff from walmart. worked out real nice. I wanted to stop some rust bubles that were developing on the doors etc so I ground them down and coated emm good after taping them off. It also fixed my rusty front bumper perfectly. total cost about a days labor and 60 bucks. I will have to get some pics of it to post up.

yeah thats why I took out the big griner with the big wire wheel first and got it all before applying luckily it was all surface stuff no holes yet :-)
The linex stuff is a heck of alot nicer no doubt about it but $ is always an issue in my household and the wife says my labor is free so duplicolor won out.

Line-x
i was at the local IN-and-out yesturday and saw a new 2007 silverado with line-X in the front of his rig. normally where a bug shield would go, he had line-X there and on the front bumper..didnt look half bad either..
