Finished Herculiner!

I'm sure you've seen plenty of pics of ppl and their new bed liners, but I'm sitting here waiting for the 1st coat to dry, so I figured I'd post some pics.

I painted the bottom half of my toolbox, since it gets abused the most. Also angle iron/bed rails that are connected to my headache rack.

It came out alright, I could have done a better job, but in 93 degree heat and no wind, I was hurrying. (The white spot in the middle are my taped up wires to my KCs. They aren't touching anything, but just sticking out a 1/2" hole.)

It has seemed to dry quick, so I should get the 2nd coat on about 4 hours after the 1st. Will have final pics then.

Need advice/opinion!?

I first planned on Herculining all my accessories, but decided to stick with the semi-gloss look. Although on my brush guard, I'm thinking it might look pretty cool if I just Herulined what's circled in red, since those are the main parts that get scratched and bumbed from brush the most.

I NEED YOUR OPINIONS!

Looks good, I bet it is much cheaper than Line X. How does H compare to Line X in terms of durability?

Seriously, LINE-X and the other professional products are way more durable. In fact, the do-it-yourself stuff isn't even in the same ballpark. If Herc works for you, then that's fine, go for it.

Your time has to be taken into consideration. I paid $450 for my Line X and don't regret it one bit. I usually work on my own stuff, but this was something I just didn't feel like doing. But you do learn a lot when doing things like this yourself. Congrats on the finished product, looks good. I would use that stuff on the front of you grille gaurd fo sho.

Good luck,

Greg

As far as durability, I would have loved to have it Line-X, but with all my accessories ...it would have probably put me over $500. I've got more time than money for something like this. The truck is a 97....10 years old. I would deffinitely put a top grade bedliner in a 05-07. I just need it to hold up a few more years of college untill I find a new truck, then the truck it's off to our El Rancho where it will really take a beating. Thanks for the replies.

Hey, I completely understand. Now, stop playing around with your truck and get back to studying! Joking, I'm sure you have some spare time now that it's summer.

I see the TTHA logo on your window. Check this out:
