I need an update from you rollbak owners, I am trying to decide on this but want a few pieces of information from you all and others with this top
1) How long has it been on your truck?
2) Have you had any problems with it?
3) Have you noticed any warping
4) I know it leaks a little up front and out back, BalogUk does the weatherstrip help this?> Have you tried anything upfront?
5) Is the black powder coat still black or has it faded any?
6) My MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION, Does it rattle?
7) If you had to go back and rebuy a cover would you repurchase this cover or opt. for another brand?(Pace Edwars, Retrax, etc.)
Thanks in advanced and all of your trucks look awesome

okay I'll play-
first and most importantly, do you live off-road, or spend a good amount of time 75%+ unpaved vs. paved? if so, this cover is NOT for you.
1. nearly two years now, 32,000 miles
2. (see note above lol) I've had the incremental lock bar, and tracks replaced twice- steel lock pin breaks the incremental locks when in constant motion as steel>aluminum.
3. nope, I'm 6'4" 200# stand on it every once in a while to wax the roof of the truck- those slats are damn sturdy.
4. i actually took off the weatherstripping the last time i replaced my tracks because I moved them closer to the tailgate, forcing a solid seal- my bed stays 100% dry now, unless i take it thru a power car wash. never has leaked at the cab, the weatherstripping they provide on the cover panel works perfectly.
5.it is still as black as it was on day 1
6. on the highway, in the city- no, it is silent- offroad, it can get squeaky when its rolled out, but a fresh spray of silicone, or wd-40 on the tracks take care of that pretty well
7.yes* it is a great cover when living in a civilized, paved environment. very secure, and works great- whenever I'm home in the mountains, I have it rolled up now so that I don't break any more lock tracks since I'm out of warranty.

My truck will probably never go offroad, gravel at the most and I am going to do my damndest(dont know if this is a word but it fit here) not to ever let that happen.
--When the things broke that did break, did they warranty them and did you have any issues with this? Hows the customer supprt? i remeber reading where you forgot about the shims, was this your first issue of the two>?
Thanks for anwsering all the question, I sure do appreciate it.

yes, the shims was what caused the first major failure- their directions did not say to put them in there, so I didn't. you NEED the shims lol!! their customer service is decent- sometimes a little slow, but they are usually helpful and willing to send out new lock bars, tracks without too much hassel. pictures say a great deal- if you do have a problem, take a few pics of it, email it off to them and you should have a replacement part relatively soon. if you do get the cover, PM me and I will give you the lady's email that I've dealt with since the first problem...

Rollback like(?)
I have the retraxx version of the rollback. I do not drive off-road, but other than having to periodically oiling the track, I've had no issues. It doesn't rattle, it leaks minimal, and no I don't think I can stand on it. The cover is like a black lacquer finish, and has not faded in the Texas sun in 8 months. It does attract dust, and get pretty hot (inside and to the touch). My truck has bedrails, and the retraxx fits snuggly in-between. I like the look because it's completly flush to the bed. The roll-back was raised a little due to the molding around it. Hope this provides you with some information, if you would like, I can post pictures.

Well packaged, but the instructions were almost worthless. Two and a half hours to install. But it would have been faster if the neighbor didn't come over asking questions.
Fits well. I don't think it will leak much at the tailgate... especially after I install the free tailgate seal RealTruck sent. But I'll be very surprised if it doesn't leak at the cab. The weather strip at the at the cab end sits a 1/4 inch too high. Same distance the Ford bed caps sit higher than the bed in that area. Nothing I can't rectify with another piece of weather strip up front. ... but I'll wait until I get a bedliner sprayed ... when I have more mod funds.
