Ken did your front cover seal the gap?? I finally installed mine and their is a gap large enough in the front to allow leaking, but maybe it will run into the bucket and drain????

If you're talking the gap at the front of the bed next to the cab... no mine does not seal. The gap appears to be the size of the height of the plastic bed rail caps. My plan is to put a weather-strip in there to fill the gap, but not until I get my spray in bedliner done.

No lube was supplied. But they recommend WD-40. I would not use a grease. Just WD-40 or a silicon spray.

I went to advanced auto and got some cmper top seal I think it was 30 yards for 11.88 and I ended up putting 5 on top of each other and this provided a top seal, I now just have to drill the hole for the drain tubes

knighj1, if you've got a gap, move your left and right tracks back as far as you can, while still being able to close the tailgate- if you do this, you have to shut the gate harder, but you will have a 100% weather-tight seal provided by the rubber on the end of the cover...

Don't drill the bed itself for the tubes. Look at where BalogUK put his.
