SEMA project truck

Is anyone else from the forum going to SEMA?

I'm building a project truck... brand new F150 Screw. Bedliner is already decided, as are almost all the goodies. Will post pictures once I piece her together.

Would love to hook up with anyone else that is going to be there. That includes other bedliner guys - friendly competition is a good thing!

I am going to be working the booth for the air spring company I work for right now. Seeing some of the vehicles and what not at the show is cool but working 8 hours in a booth sucks.

I think we have enough people going that I'll be able to wander a little. Let me know your booth number and I'll stop in and clap hands. I know what you're saying about working in the booth for 8 straight... killer.

We're only 2 rows apart, our booth is 30836 - same end of the row with 2 rows between!

See you there!

You can't say that you are building a SEMA project truck and not include pictures

I pick up the truck next week, then the thrash begins. You'll see pictures once it's done. It won't be a massive truck, but very nice.

PS: The Indy Jamboree is Kickin'!

I'll be there for my magazine (Off-Road). If I can't escape from doing it, I'll also be doing some interview/hosting duties for Four Wheeler TV.

I'm looking forward to seeing the F150!

Love the mag! Renewed my subsrciption at the Jamboree.

Got the truck today, guess that means by tomorrow I'll be elbow deep in her!

Was going to drop you a note off-forum... drop me one if you would - got some outside thoughts for you.

My truck will be on display at the SEMA Show, so naturally I'll be out there all week. Not sure quite where it will be yet, outside in front somewhere, probably in the big lot.
Bryndon, what bed liner company? is it one you work at or are they just using your truck?
P.A.H., whats the chances of getting my truck featured in there? heh heh.

Bryndon,

I'll contact you. Thanks for reading, too!

Matt,

I assume your truck has gears and some kind of traction-adding diff? As long as it does, I'm very interested. Maybe we could shoot it on your way home from SEMA. I'm in the St. George, Utah, area and am pretty much on your way.

I ask about the gears, etc., because I took the show trucks out of Off-Road a year ago, but people still think we're running them for some reason. Usually, if the truck has gears and lockers, it does more than sit at a show.

I have a new '05 scab that I'm going to do a mild buildup in the mag. It's my own truck and I need to drive it on the street, tow stuff, and go off-road with (Not rockcrawling. I have a Jeep for that).

Phil

PAH, yes it is geared down. I was going to add a locker of some kind in but no one makes one for my rear axle yet (9.75"). And yes, the truck has been off-road. Heck the above picture was taken on a fairly difficult off-roading trail... . So I put the winch on the front, and now I don't need the locker! LOL j/k.
I know where St. George is, I stayed there the night before the SEMA Show last year, its just the right distance from Vegas to drive from Denver to St. George one day, then the rest of the hours the next day .
