Ford Bedmat Review

I plan on getting a Line-X with the Nason AZ Beige color match. However, that's more of a February 06 time frame. Until then, I needed something to hold me over.

Here's my baseline for comparison: I bought a 1996 Ford Ranger brand new and immediately put a bet mat in it. It was a cheap ($50 at the time) mat that I had to do a little trimming on to get it to fit just right. It was very thin, but nothing ever poked through it. Initially, I was worried that it would blow out of my bed. Decent mat and did the job for the 9 years I owned the truck. It was probably at the end of its life when I sold my truck recently.

I bought the Ford F-150 bed mat last night for my 05 KR. $65.40 quoted at three different dealerships (so it must be a standard price) and got same day shipping to my nearest dealer -- ordered at 1:00 PM and it was in at 3:30 PM.

I was shocked to see how well it fit the bed. Clearly, this was designed to fit my truck's bed and it contours to all the lines and bulges in the bed. Awesome. It's also very thick. Probably 5/8" thick. This thing isn't budging.

The underside is pretty tacky and had a knobby finish to it. This mat isn't sliding around anywhere and it's way too heavy to ever be moved by air flow.

Cosmetically, it has a design that sort of matches the plastic top to the rear bumper. It, of course, has the F-150 lettering, which is a nice touch.

Bottom line is that I'm very impressed with the quality of this bed mat. For $65, it's an incredible value.

Yep, I'd rather have a Line-X, but this is a great solution to hold me over until I can afford the Line-X.

Great review 67, thanks for the post.

First off, you will love Line-X when you get it. Many here (including myself) consider Line-X to be the best money we have spent on our trucks so far.

Secondly, when you get Line-X, keep the mat! Line-X is more than capable to do the job, but extra protection can't hurt. Plus, the mat looks cool!

I just got the Line-X installed today and plan on adding the bedmat for extra traction to keep things from sliding. I've also ordered the Roll-N-Lock from them and they'll install it when it arrives.

There are various part numbers, depending on the length of your bed.

Here's a site that has the PNs, but the prices are high (since you'd have to pay shipping).

Ford Bedmat PN

Wow, that mat looks cool. I had a similar one in my 01', made it hard to slide stuff when I wanted to but it did keep stuff from sliding when I did not want it to.

Kind of a contrarian thing.

I don't think I will be getting one. Appreciate your review.

Man, that looks slick. I might have to pick one up to compliment my Line-X.

Here is a picture of my Penda bedmat that I ordered from Cabela's. I had one in my previous F-150 and it is a very nice sturdy mat, probably very similar to the mat already discussed in this thread.

Definitely no problem with water drainage. This mat is also custom cut for the particular vehicle application. In my old truck, I decided to later put in a Line-x liner and this bedmat still fits nicely over the Line-x liner to add a layer of cushion so things can be better tossed into the bed without worry of denting the bed.

Anybody know if the bed Mat with the F150 logo will fit in a 03' supercrew.
That Ford website only list's it fitting for '04's and '05's.
THe Ford logo one is priced at $117 or something , almost twice as much and the F-150 logo one looks sweeter.
Called my local dealer and they said $84, but I think he didn't know what i was talking about.
Where'd you find it for $55?

If you look at the picture of my truck above, you can order one just like that for an 03 truck and it will fit perfectly. I had to order the new bedmat when I bought my 05 because the bedmat for the 02 wasn't the same and I wanted it to fit perfect without having to trim.

Yes, Cabelas makes one that fit's my truck it's $69.99. I like the look of the Ford Mat that has the F-150 logo and the diagonal design that matches my bumper trim. What I need to find out is can I trim a '04/'05 mat to fit or would there be something weird going on with it.

What really bugs me is NOBODY in town seems to carry any inventory on any accessories anymore so I can't check them out in person.

(Them)"Tonneau Cover(etc.)? Oh No, we have to order that for you"

(Me) "No thanks, I can do that myself in my underwear, drinking coffee and have it delivered to my door."
