Hey all, I've decided Line-X is the way to go. I had some questions about the various options available, but TrukGasm was very cool about all the questions I threw at him offline and clued me in on quite a bit. Now it is up to me to decide on just how I want to execute those options. So I am very interested in hearing from people who have actually had their beds Line-Xed and what made them decide one way or another. Pics would be very cool to make a point.
First I am trying to decide if the extra cost of a dye job is worth it. It'd be great if anyone has pics of a Wedgewood Blue bed that's been Line-Xed. I'd like to see the blue match coat (nason topcoat preferably) as well as the natural black on a Wedgewood Blue bed. Anyone have a Line-X Xtra coat yet?
Second, bed hardware-- remove or spray everything, or something in between? My Dad thinks I should spray everything. I was leaning towards spraying the bed bolts but removing the tie downs when I got sprayed. My original thinking was that the tie down's would be reduced in size by the coating. Of course now I'm thinking that the paint on them could easily chip if I leave them bare and I use a non-rubber-coated metal hook. TG mentioned that some people also don't spray their bed bolts either in case a bed repair might need to be made, which otw would entail digging into the liner to remove these bolts. Doesn't seem like it'd be that common an occurance to me. Anyone ever have to remove a bed? What sort of repair was it for? Anyone not coat their bed bolts or anyone coat everything? Got pics?
Lastly, bed bulkhead. Did you cover the top rail or just up to the lip? Do you still have your drainage gap between the bulkhead and the bed? (BTW, what are the black plastic oval things in each corner of the bed bulkhead?)
Thanks in advance to all for your feedback.

My advice, don't bother painting it to match, unless yours is a show truck or something. Otherwise its just gonna get beat up anyways, LOL.
REMOVE YOUR BED BOLTS!!! If you don't, and you get in a wreck and the bed needs repair, or you need to get to your fuel pump, or you want a body lift, it'll be a major nightmare, TRUST ME!!! I would also recommend taking the tie-downs out and not spraying them but thats up to you.
As far as the bulkhead, I didn't have the lip sprayed but all the way up to the lip. I figured they'd screw it up if they tried to spray too much, LOL.

IMO the matched Line-X jobs look weird. The stock black color looks good on any truck!
Secondly, I had everything removed prior to the spraying and yes, my spray goes all the way up and over the bulkhead. The dealer I took it to did a damn good job and there isn't any "overspray" anywhere.
Check it out!

There are also many more pictures (both before and after) in my gallery.

Well, the pigmented only liners don't look that good. The ones with Nason look great.
Here's blue color matches with Nason and other color match pics. These are scanned pics, so there is loss of resolution. Enjoy!

The Nason beds do look sharp. The match is damn good; only way I can tell they've been lined from the pictures is the texture. Is this Nason only, or did they get the UV topcoating too?
Nason only. Remember, Nason is a (urethane based) automotive paint. It won't fade any faster than your truck's paint.

I like the black liner and I had my bolts sprayed....apparently a utility knife and some time will cut them loose if necessary. If the truck is wrecked who cares how hard it is...that is the body shops problem.
If you plan on lifting etc well then yea take em out...I like the look with them sprayed better though....IMO

Mine Line-X was sprayed in a couple of months ago and I'm pleased with the job. I haven't put it through any real tests (spilling gasoline, bleach, oil, etc.). I have it over the rails - in retrospect I think some plastic rail guards might have been the way to go, but oh well. My Line-X is black and looks and I think it looks great. The truck is being painted right now otherwise I would post some pics.
Just had mine done a few weeks ago. Sprayed over the front lip and underneath on the sides. All the hardware was removed, which I didn't even think to ask about but they did it anyway. It was a first class job with no overspray!
I haven't had a chance to put it to the test yet either but from what I hear, it holds up well.
I chose Line-X because of what I read here on this forum!
