Herculiner experience
i'm a rhino dealer so take this w/a grain of salt.i sell our liner for $50 per gallon plus installation.6 gallons x $50 =295. plus 2hrs labor @ $50 ea. = 395.00 and you get a lifetime warranty.doesn't herculiner sell for $90 per gal./you do the work yourself and you get no warranty?.........is that really cheaper?
Sure it is, I don't make $50 an hour and neither do the guys in your shop spraying it in and doing the masking! Also, one gallon of herculiner put two coats on my bed for $100. You also need to check your math, 6 gallons at $50 a piece is $300, not $295. And to think, all this time you've been giving a $5 discount.....I should have gone to your shop!!!
I'm not knocking you or what you do, I truly hope you make a great living from it. For me though, the herculiner was the way to go and I'll keep the $295 difference in my pocket.

Can't argue w/logic like that.
Good luck in everything you do.

I put all kinds of things in it and have not scuffed it or rubbed it off yet i put a generator in the back about a week ago ( 15hp weighs about 200 lbs) I was by myself when i had to get it out so i grabbed on to it and dragged it out and the frame under it i thought was going to scratch it off it did not, i can't say enough good things about it.
I did paint over the acess cover but if you have to get in use a razor knife and carfuly cut around the edge of it.

I just finished doing two trucks with Hurculiner. My friend and I are so happy wiith results. I can't believe how easy it was. The only hard part was taking the scotch brite pad to the paint. Both truck were 5 days old neither had over 300 miles on them. But I am happy!

Did mine last weekend, I was very apprehensive about using the scotch brite pad on perfectly good paint, so I put it off for quite a while. Last weekend I needed something to do and finally grew a pair and installed the Herculiner.
I am extremely pleased with the results and wish I had done it sooner. everyone that I've shown it to is very impressed with the quality and thickness achieved.
If anyone is considering a liner and has more time than money, I recommend the Herculiner.
All total I spent about 5 hours working on mine from the prep, taping, and application of three coats.

How do you think it would look on a front brush guard or prerunner bumper? I need to repaint mine and thought it might wear a little better and be a little more forgiving. Just wondering id you thought it would look alright
Here are some pictures of a fresh install of Herculiner in my new 2000 F250 SC SD.

$99 for the kit at K Mart.Did my short bed and had a quart left over. Yes I did it all by myself. 6 hour from start of prep till finsh of first coat. That puts you 80 or so percent done. Then you wait for 3-4 hours and the second coat is quick. Then remove the tape while still wet and clean up any mess. I will need to touch up a couple of unclean edges but not really a big problem. Make sure you sand really well everything and wash everything down good with xylene. Mask tape real good and tight. Remove the tie downs and have plenty of xylene handy for clean up and watch those hand where you place them to brace yourself. It will clean offanything the first day but inspect all of the truck when you are through for drips or smudges where they should not be.
hey, anyone over there in the real world know where i can order this stuff from? Is the kit in JC Whitney the same stuff or is it a different brand? And if it is a different brand anyone know if it is worth a crap? Thanks!

Don't know about the Whitney stuff. You can order direct from Herculiner but you pay shipping. There are numerous distributors such as K-Mart, Autozone, etc. Check their web site.

My friend has a 1970 blazer that he cruise's without the top on we used the new color stuff they have and did the whole inside of the body he has no carpet in it . He planns on hosing it out when it needs to be cleaned, We cheated on the scuffing part, since he had it apart when we did it , we used a sand blaster to scuff eveything just turn down the air psi and the flow os sand and it will lightly dust the surface, blow out with air when done and wipe down it looks great. two gallons to do the whole inside, ie dash board and all , looks pretty cool,

I have a question. If you need to mix the Herculiner product before using to disperse the rubber particles, could you strain the stuff and apply it to get a smooth finish?.
The reason I'm asking is I'd like to use it inside the cab of my Ranchero. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.
Thanks, Henry.
