Question Contrasting spray in color

Has anybody sprayed a line-x or rhino in their truck in a contrasting color? I have a red truck and am thinking of going with silver or possibly ecen white (although I bet that wouldn't look good for long). Can anybody photoshop this from a rear and kind of side view, and if so, how about with the rails sprayed also. '02 fleetside, ext. cab. Thanks, Albow.

I have a red truck and had the liner done red as well. It looks awesome! The contrasting color thing seems kinda goofy to me. I'd get black or match your paint. Don't do something you might regret later on. There's a reason you won't see many(if any) trucks like that on the road. Also, consider resale value. Even if you do like it, chances are a potential buyer will not. A dealer will view it negatively too if you are the trade in type.

Just my view of your question.

i think if you matched it to your interior color or to a pin stripe it could look very nice. if you get grey i think it would look better than the black does after 6 months for sure.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I am thinking about the contrasting silver or white becaus I am going with chrome accents over much of the truck instead of a monochrome look. I am possibly going to get siver rail caps if i dont get them sprayed, but I sure wish I could see them on, Esp. in person before buying.

I have gray Rhino in my 97 x-cab and it looks great. Now the downsides 1. Unless Rhino has changed its formula since'97 their liners oxidize and become dull. A harsh detergent and a scrub brush brings it back but only for a couple of weeks 2. I considered a matching color for my Pacific Green truck but then I saw one and it was off-color just enough to clash - NOT good
3. Rhino is so thick that I'd bet it added 20# to the weight of my tailgate and 500# to the truck weight.

The stuff is indestructable. I "use" my truck and some of the little nubs have been skinned off but you really can't tell. One of the hardest things to get out of the bed is blood (deer). Also, I've seen some competitors whose liners are glossy and are supposed to stay that way.
Good luck,
Chiz

Thanks ironhat. Which ones are supposed to stay glossy? If the black is going to oxidize, then I might as well go with a color I would think

I'm thinking of having my truck sprayed, but now I'm getting worried about what it will look like in a few years.

I saw a Chevy in a parking lot, the stuff had changed to a smeary yellow/green color. It looked just like the Jolly Green Giant had puked in his truck.

We have only been a Rhino dealer for about a year now....but about 6 months ago, I know that Rhino upgraded one of the components of the Resin side of our mixture to a more expensive and durable alternative. The upside of this change is to make the liner less susceptible to fading and color change when faced with years of UV exposure. That is just one change in the last year that I am aware of, but I been informed that there have been others over the years. It is a ongoing process but despite what our competitors may say....Rhino's product is still being improved much like that of the other brands. But no matter what, the bed coating industry is very fascinating to watch.

If anyone would like any other information about Rhino....we will as always be happy to answer every question we can.

I have the Reflex liner in black on my red '00 F-150. IT looks great. I dont know about the other linings but the Reflex is guarenteed for as long as you have your truck but this excludes the contrasting colors. Black is guarenteed from fading but other colors are vulnerable to fading. The dealer that I got mine from tight of the bat recomended that i not get the colored spray in liners because of this. Just something to think about before you do something you could possibly regret.

hey guys, i've chatted with a guy that goes by the name rhinovirginia here on the site. he has answered a lot of my bedliner questions. he is a dealer out in...yes, virginia! anyway, i asked him the same thing about fadding and all. he said that the colors do cost more since rhino products are made bulk, like black since it is the most popular. plus they do sell a renewal brush on coating.l he said that it doesn't just shine it like an armorall does, he said it actually repigments the liner! so it lasts longer. but if you all have any other questions, i guess search him out, like i said, he got all my questions back to me quickly. hope this helps
