Probably a junkyard or eBay.

i found one on eBay last summer, but with Patman's great instructions I was able to re solder mine and it has worked great here in the Ft. Worth weather ever since!!! Otherwise, yes, probably a salvage yard...knowing the same fate might have occurred to what you would find there, as well.

The black corner on the display is "normal"

I haven't seen any of them fried before? You got any pics?

Easiest would be to measure another of the 911 labeled resistors and the board with an ohm meter and go from there.

Welcome to the forums!

IIRC: Pretty much any 500 ohm resistor will do. There was several people in this thread that posted results of replacement resistors

Missing 510 resistor

Great write up. On mine the 510 resistor on the end is missing. Does anyone know where to get them these days. Since radio shack is out of business? Local Los Angeles would be great.
thanks,
MG
