Break lug nuts loose (21mm)
Jack the truck up and support with stands

Remove the wheels (showing off my 3/8" Makita cordless impact)

The new goodies

Wheels removed

Doh! New first step check the weather.

<Pause for rain to pass by>
Remove caliper (Two 13mm bolts)
Also if you remove the 10mm brake hose bracket on the lower control arm, you should have enough room in the brake hose to lay the caliper on the ground without stressing the hose out.

Remove caliper bracket bolts (17 or 18mm i can't remember)
Use very large channel locks and one of the old brake pads to squeeze the pistons in. Or a large C clamp and an old brake pad

Gently remove the grease dust cap

Remove hub nut (27mm)

Remove hub washer

Carefully remove outer bearing

At this point the rotor should come off of the spindle

The inner bearing is retained by the inner grease seal.

Old and new

Inner bearing and seal removed

Packing the inner bearings

Clean the grease seal if you arent replacing it

Packing outer bearings

Clean and grease the spindle

And reinstall going backwards through the removal steps

I made a quick video to show how to pack the bearings for someone who might have never seen it been done before.

Dont forget to grease the caliper slides as well.

Great write up,,,basically it's the same way I did it on my '87 Stang. I'm just glad you showed that you squeeze in the piston. Wasn't sure it was like the 94-95 Stangs where the piston threads in.
Nice.. ive been looking for aftermarket rotors. Where you get them? We run Hawk DTC pads on our Zo6 for racing. Great brakes!

hows the coasting feel with the bearings? when I did mine it felt like the truck could keep rolling forever. iver 180,000 miles on my stock bearings before i repacked mine.
yea i dont mind getting messy every now and then, plus this way is tried and true.
If i worked at a shop that packed bearings you bet your money i would have the tool tho
