westin oval tube step

I am the proud new owner of a white 2002 FX4 supercrew and am thinking about getting some steps. I can tell that generally speaking, everyone here likes the westin products, but I haven't heard much or seen many pictures of the westin oval tube steps. I would like to get everyone's opinion on the color (black or chrome) and the type of step that would look the best on my truck. Thanks a bunch for all of the information supplied on this website.

I have the Ford Chrome side bars. Not the factory ones, but the ones sold by the Ford parts counter. (They are different).

I looked at the Westin bars, and they are identical to mine, except mine have the Ford logo on the step instead of Westin.
I don't have any pictures to show you, but they look great.

I bought the Ford bars just to get the Ford logo.

I installed them myself. Took about 2 hours. No drilling, and all bolts and brackets fit perfectly.

You can buy the Westin bars installed for about the same as I paid at the dealer without installation.

I paid 350.00.

Hope this helps.

I say with a white truck both would look good that would be a personal call on which one to put on it.

I got the chrome westin steps put on Friday afternoon and I love em. My truck was supposed to come with a bed extender, but when I picked it up it wasn't on the truck. I decided that I would rather have some steps instead so the dealer traded me even for the chrome westin's that he had in his parts department. Very happy with my truck and my dealer.
