Lightbulb BEDRUG Install....... Any tips or tricks

I got a very nice well maintained BEDRUG from my friendly FEDEX gal today and I didn't get any instructions on installation. Now I am not in a doubt how to install this liner, I got velcro and all, just called and will be picking up a tailgate rubber seal in the morning so I can install this puppy while I am sunbathing and working on my tan this weekend(wishing Lchick was here to help, woohoo!).

Anyways back to the post here, anyone have any comment, tips, and or tricks to make this a fun project please let me know, thanks Showya in Kansas City!

I was curious about the cargo tie downs too? Leave em or just pull them out for a clean look, never used em.

Have an awesome weekend F150online!

Thumbs up EASY!

I just had a BedRug installed in my SCrew last Saturday. Even though a "professional" installed it, really wasn't that difficult at all. Just be sure you thoroughly clean the paint off with alcohol before applying the Velcro strips. I elected to leave the tiedowns in and they just cut a slit for them to poke through. Can't even tell they are there against the black rug. If you never think you'll use them then yank em out. They also removed the rear hardware for my bed extender then re-installed over the RUG to give it that clean finished look. I have a SnugTop as well and had them apply a matching headliner to it. All I can say is WOW! It really looks great!

Good Luck!

Question for you...

How do you like your 70 series exhaust? How is the sound with duals versus single?

Thanks!

Bob

The Internet is a wonderful thing...

Instructions can be viewed online at BedRug's website

Hey nomo! Thanks for awesome link here! I can only say this is one of the most sought after and most friendly boards online and you just made my day here.

I got my velcro this morning and will be picking up my tailgate seal kit around Noon. Think is gonna be a weekend project for Sunday.

As for my exhaust, I had MagnaFlow and loved it. Back in September when I started the Lightning ground effects, I got a dual inlet-dual outlet FlowMaster and I can honestly say this, sounds awesome, not too much cab drone but still sounds radical at WOT.

As for retail on one of these BEDRUG brand liners, I have seen them anywhere from $299 to $359. I paid $156 for mine from right here in the classifeds and love it. I just need to give it some TLC and steam clean it before I make my bed this weekend!

Thanks for all the post and keep them coming folks! I am was waiting for a post from Lchick, she must be waiting at her mailbox for a little present from me! hehhehehehehehhe

Your're most welcome Showya. You'll love the BedRug. I took out the tie-downs and re-installed them over the liner. Looks great & prevents any kind of shifting (or theft).

Check out this thread. Not sure if the prices are the same as they used to be, but the source that JefF150 gave on page 2 is where I bought mine. Definitely the cheapest place that I could find.

I did the same as nomo. I took out the hooks and after installing the rug I pushed an awl through from the back to find the screw holes and reinstalled them. Its a little tough and you need two people but it looks great and does prevent theft. Its a great product. Just my 2 cents.

Showya...

What made you decide to go with duals vs single? Did you have to install a Y or H pipe? I just had a FM 50 series installed and are very curious how the two 70's sound compared to a single 50? I passed on a single 70 thinking it would be a little too quiet. The 50 sounds really good but I'm wondering if the 70 is better designed for the new trucks and with duals is there a performance gain or just louder? Thanks in advance for you info!

For you others, I paid $340 installed for my Rug. Seen them as low as $325 on the internet. Really like how it looks! By far one on the nicer mods one can do to his/her truck

Have a good weekend ALL!
