euro corners leaking

hello all,

I got my euro(diamond) corners off of ebay and they are leaking. I want to get another set of off ebay, but don't want to buy the same ones. Problem is I forgot who the seller was, so my question to you is what seller on ebay sells good ones that nobody has had problems with leaking.

Thanks,
josh

I had the same problem with my projector headlamps. Had water building up inside and causing the bulb to blow.
He's my fix- Blow air into the socket where the bulb sits. And you should feel some air/water leaking out in the edge somewhere. The leak will probably be between the clear lens and housing. Put some clear silicone sealant on it and it should be fine. Just be sure to get all of the water out.

I thought about doing that. But for $30 bucks, i might just get a new pair if I knew they weren't going to leak.

i had the same problem with my lights - both the clear corners and euro tails. i did the exact same thing as jupiterak to fix them. if you bought them off ebay you probably got them from the seller procarparts.com. i would recommend that everyone stay away from these guys. their products are cheap and they could care less if you’re unhappy with their products. i even see their advertising in truckin and sport truck magazine now. beware - you get what you pay for!

YES, now that you mention is, it was procarparts.com. So are the ones sold by bonbonshaker @matrix racing any better? I can tell by the picture that they are not the same exact ones.

Thanks,
josh

Oh, like jupiterak, my bulb stoped working. I got a new one, dryed out the lense, and applied silicone around the whole thing. Guess what, it still doesn't work. The only other thing that I can think to do is to replace the rear bulb on the same side of the vehicle. But I get the feeling it's not going to help. If these corners messed up my electrical system because of the water thing, I'm am going to be really pissed!

Thumbs down I got cornered to!!

jlarid, Did you buy yours from Matix's racing Ebay ID bonbonshacker. Well when got them I blew into the opening were the bulb fits into and I heard at least 4 leaks in each. Lets say I was little pissed off. But I went to hardware store and bought a good quality clear caulk and let it set up and installed them have not had a problem yet. I guess you pay for what you get. If you raed the lable when you got them it says not for street use. Of coarse nowhere in his discription does he mention this little gem of info. Either way it worked out. I most say they do look good on KR. Scott

Got mine from the famous bonbonshaker (budbruin@matrixracing.com) and they leaked with in a week on the one side when it rained. Took them out waiting to hear a good fix so I guess I will try the clear silicone also

Got my Depot euro headlights from bonbonshaker, no condensation, leaking, or any trouble with them. Good quality, too. My corners I got from someone on this site sometime last year. No leaks on those either, guess I'm lucky?,,,,98

i got mine too. i don't think theyre great quality, but they look better than stocker, and i was glad to take out the orange. anways, mine would get condensation after it rained, so i took them off, dried it out, and put hot glue around all the sides, and they've been better than new. they haven't leaked for 6 months. another cool gem, not related to leakage, is i got color changing led turn signals. driving lights they are white, but when i hit the turn signal they are yellow. very cool, and they don't make all the reflective insides all orange.

Thumbs up

Would those color changing leds bulbs be made by HZ engineering? That sounds pretty sweet! I actually like the reflected orange look a little. I guess it goes well with the tan metallic paint better than some other paint colors. How much did those set you back, sporkdevil?,,,,98

If you don't mind me asking, that is?
